I didn’t say anything. I was waiting to see his reaction to Phantom Ganon when he beat the Gloom Hands. I remember my first encounter with the Gloom Hands. It was inside the Great Deku Tree for a Side Quest and I thought that enemy was specific for this quest and not an over world encounter. It took a few tries and once I beat it… Phantom Ganon showed up to my shock and horror and die nearly right away. I shouted “No one said anything about fighting Phantom Ganon for this quest!!!” And thought it unfair until I got stronger and better gear and learned a few tricks that I beat him effortlessly. But I had the Master Sword at the time so that Side Quest ended up kinda pointless. Fun times.

Rauru's Blessing shrines are actually my favorite, because that means the actual puzzle / challenge was out in the world itself. And I prefer puzzles being organically built into the world/environment versus inside a shrine. (But I do enjoy good ole' shrines as well haha)

That isn't the case for all of them, though. I noticed a handful of times where I found a shrine seemingly out in the open or maybe just in a simple cave or something, and they were Rauru's Blessing. Like, I appreciate the reward for finding it, but it gets to a point where you start to feel like the devs just ran out of ideas for shrines, so they made the rest of them gimmes.

I am so happy when I get into Rauru's Blessing shrines. Like, you have to go through hell and high water quite a few times to get to them so I literally just 😭😭 when I walk into one, lol.

I personally found all the Overworld challenges too easy and felt the same disappointment Deebeegeek feels every time he gets a Blessing Shrine and that is not to mention some blessing shrines were just given without a challenge of any form.

I don't remember having much of an issue with them in BOTW, but TOTK makes traversal so broken that often I reached a shrine casually and realized "oops, I was supposed to do a thing here wasn't I?..."

I see what you're saying, but two considerations I want the devs to take in for next time. 1. Why not have a puzzle in the overworld AND in the shrine? 2. If you can only do a puzzle in the overworld, why do I have to go through two loading screens to get a reward? Why not just give me the reward right away??

I was looking forward to your reaction to the scary hands. What an interesting surprise. Frightening stuff! 23:50 Your rock-hammer probably would've been a good option. It's supposed to be used on rock :) 27:20 Unfortunately you were still using your arrow for pretty much everything, instead of just throwing items. That really helps saving bows. I'd only use the bow if I have to shoot something far away.

You got a Rauru's Blessing because the shrine's challenge was the gloom hands guarding it. And the other Rauru's blessing, the shrine's challenge was the trial run of the dive (that dive island is meant to be the first one you go to). You generally get Rauru's Blessings if the shrine is in a difficult area or other challenge in the overworld.

An often overlooked fact… If you wear the full glide set, you won’t take any fall damage. Also, you really need to upgrade some of your armor at the fairy fountains. It’s way too weak for some of the stronger bosses.

The Rauru's Blessing shrines...they're my favourite. Because usually the puzzle you have to solve is the one *outside* the shrine...that you have to go through to get into it. Then you get your reward right away. :) I enjoy being outside rather than inside shrines, so I love the overworld puzzles.

Blessing shrines are usually given when the way to get there is just as of not harder than a typical puzzle

A few things i learned from spending 60% of my 400h playthrough in the Depths. 1- Flash fruit is your best friend when dealing with Stalfo enemies or just wanting to run away from the others. 2- it is best to have at minimum 2 star armor with weapons in the 40s. 3- a Sled, Steering stick and 1 or 2 Fans are a great way to move around in the Depths when you can't build a Glider, and unlike a Glider a Sled never despawns unless you get too far from it. 4- always place a Big Brightbloom in front of a vehicle for the best lighting. 5- stop at every mine every time you come across one, the more Zonaite the better

While you are up on the highest part of the game where the diving ceremony is I’ve put a travel madelian up there so when i need to get to anywhere high i just travel up there and can usually glide to anywhere that’s high up 🙏🏾

I've played OOT, Skyward Sword, Phantom Hourglass, BOTW, TOTK, and WW... Windwaker will forever be my favorite Zelda game. Growing up playing the game as a kid and being Link as a kid "Hero of Time" and sailing the open seas was just absolutely epic. Sure it's not a perfect game, but it satisfies my heart in a way no other Zelda game has.

All the blessings shrines are a response to people complaining about how all the dungeony challenges were all in the shrines. Now we have a bunch of out of shrine puzzles and quests that reward you with a blessings shrine.

If your going to try to complete the depths the best thing you can do is save a hoverbike with a dragon part attached to it (dragon parts have a massive de-spawn radius), then throw a brightbloom on the nose. Also farm for batteries of course so you can fly around.
