I have always wanted a 12 string ever since I heard dogman all those years ago, the part in 'pretend' when it cuts to just bass and drums. Being a leftie I never thought I would ever get the chance. Finally schecter have released one!! Now to start saving

Hamer did the bass community a great disservice by going under! Its great to see bass companies realize what a powerful weapon the 12 string can be in a bassists arsenal. This cover is amazing!

In a kings x tribute band myself. Have the hamer 12 string and the dug box through an 810 svt. That’s the combo. Very impressed playing it with your fingers. Sounds so nasty. You’re my hero!!!

Funny that we used to mention dogman about the 12 string bass, because Dug P says that there is no 12 string bass involves in that (tremendous) album... fake? Anyway, Tim you 've got the hell of this bass beast . I WANT ONE!
@liquidbraino3 жыл бұрын
Actually you can clearly hear a 12 string bass at roughly 2:10 in the song "Pretend" but I think that might be the only song on the entire album where he used a 12 string.
@mikeoscarparijs1313 Жыл бұрын
Nope: the Dogman album was entirely recorded on the Fender P bass which dUg also used on the 4 legged tour.There R short vids from a Florida gig where dUg clearly uses the P.bass.(Black the sky/Don't care/Black flag-Black the sky@Mark McVey' yt channel)

From reports I have heard this bass neck dives like a guillotine. Much easier to just use octave up plus lots of distortion.

Technically it's spelled "Hooah" or at least that's how we spell it in the US Army but it originated with the Native Americans. It's funny how rock bands got ahold of it, I know the basic history of that word but I'm interested in which rock band was the first to use it.
