This is the best comprehensive video on the magnuson supercharger, thanks for taking the time to put this out! I will be giving you guys a call in a couple months to talk about my tundra.

Glad it was helpful! Looking forward to that call.

I just installed a Magnuson unit on one of your builds. Made a huge difference in power, and I am getting the same MPG as long as I resist the temptation to stop on the loud pedal.

Supercharger = “Add reliability?”

Think he means if hauling a load and need more power then it's there, vs being screwed out of needing power and don't have it.

I'd never own a Taco without the blower. Too fun 😁

"...a more spirited driving experience" that's me, I don't have a real NEED for a supercharger.

How have you seen the supercharger affect engine and transmission life expectancy on 3rd gen tacomas? Very well done btw.

Ive had mine on my 3rd gen taco for almost 50k miles totally trouble free. Total mileage on my truck is 100k and have zero regrets

My friend has his with 200K and no issues

never had any issues on any of the vehicles we have put one on.

@TAVLLC Thx appreciate response. I understand that there are no issues with performance. My question specifically is, does the supercharger affect life expectancy? Toyota's go forever. Have a 4runner with well over 300k and have had a Tacoma do the same. Have a 3rd gen Tacoma at 50k and am ready to pull the supercharger trigger. Just curious if the supercharger is known to affect life expectancy (really want to get above 300k again)?

To answer the question if it is known to affect the reliability of the Toyota engine is unknown to us with vehicles with that many miles on them. Most people don’t keep their vehicles long enough to hit 2 or 300,000 miles. I know we have a client that put over 150,000 miles on a supercharger and is still going strong. He replaced an idler pulley on the supercharger and other typical wearing items which is expected with any mechanical part on any engine. Quite simply if you take care of your engine it will last you as long as you want it to.

I'm surprised there are no popular bolt-on turbo kits. Probably the cost (for low lag design,) complexity are too high to market. Get info, thanks for sharing.

Can you use a snorkel with a Magnuson supercharger?
@TAVLLC9 ай бұрын
Sure can. We’ve been using one on our Tacoma for years now.
