Had the same problem, but realized that you have to upload the zip file to the roku and open the zip file from the roku device, not the windows device.

Actually this has been known for years. Back when I used to have a Roku I enabled the developer menu. This was discussed thoroughly in the Roku forums at the time. But the thing is anything that you sideload will be disabled by Roku within a few days. So this method is not a permanent fix.

The problem after that is that if you don't block the IP address, Roku uninstalls third-party applications. You have to block the IP address. So that they can't control it remotely. That's what you have to do. Otherwise we've wasted our time. Thanks for the video.

This happened to me. I side loaded IPTV onto my Roku and now its gone. I also have Google TVs and Fire TVs, its much simpler to personalize the interface on those devices.

Exactly, nothing new here. If the goal is for IPTV there are few apps in the store by the same developer. IBPro Player works just fine, but costs 7.99 per end point, so just pay them enjoy IPTV on the ROKU. There are no other reasons to add apps outside of the store.
