This is not to advertise. But I have always noticed that the best motherboards are generally from the Asus brand. Certainly, the bios is better programmed if I compare with Gigabyte. As for my configuration: I opted for a Ryzen 7800x3d with an Asus x670E as a motherboard. I took from the ROG Strix range, more precisely an ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-A GAMING. Is it necessary to take an Asus Rog strix with so many USB connectors, and other sockets and especially with 16 +2 phases of 70 amps? as this card will be compatible with the Ryzen 9000. It will be able to accept Ryzen 16 cores/32T without excessively heating and also why not a little OC?

@@CadillacCoopdaville23 this is preety much old news now. But if you google Gamers Nexus you will find the whole story. I believe the issues may be resolved. But when it happened it scared me off and I sold the 7800x3d NIB since I just didn't want to risk problems short or long term. So now working on an i9 13900k build instead. Won't be quite as fast for gaming but not too far behind and better for my overall needs. GL to you.

any motherboard from the am5 platform can handle 7800x3d just fine. Just avoid asus prime and asrock a620m-hdv/m.2 NOT THE PLUS VERSION

@@CadillacCoopdaville23 All ASUS motherboards were melting not only themselves, but also the 7800x3ds themselves. Destroying about $700 in hardware instantly. It was because ASUS incompetently designed the BIOS for ALL of them. Then refused returns and compensation till threatened with a class-action lawsuit. And THEN they released a new BIOS that might fix it, but installing it required you to agree to not sue ASUS for their mistake. It was "HUGE" deal a month ago. The pending class-action lawsuit made them rethink it all quick.

And then Asus went full scumbag and invalidated your warrenty if you updated the motherboard drivers to try and address it. It's been quiet since then, so I suspect it's been patched now by lowering the power sent to the processor.

Yes and I suggest you go watch their just released vid on this. I have an unopened 7800x3d and gigabyte board that I'll be sending back for refund. I'm not willing to take the chance of this not getting fixed in the short term. That's my plan with the least path for failure.

as Gamers nexus stated in his 7800x3d cpu melt video it's not going to 'grill' the cpu for everyone. Just the unlucky few. He clearly said this. But still a risk if you like to overclock and use expo in bios. If you using default then you'll be fine.

The Aluminum cover doesn't directly cool down the processor. When the processor runs hot, so do the rest of the components. The aluminum heat sink in this regard keeps the temp stable in those regions.

It has amazing thermal performance given there are so many heatsinks on it. Also, the Gen 5 SSD slots do make a difference. Its a pretty decent motherboard for the 7800x3D.

@@TheShadiboy1 Gigabyte has the best looking bios out of everyone!!!!! (They recently updated it). However, I saw that in their X670E Xtreme Mobo though. Not sure if it is Mobo wide or specific. They did some serious cost reductions on that board. You should take advantage of that. Just know, no manual with it. Also, know certain m2 slot can you use otherwise, video card will be reduced. IF you have 2 m2's or just one you will be fine just know where to put them. Manual shows where. Manual = Can see it online though. That was part of the cost reduction. It also, has a very easy OC you can do w/o any knowledge needed. 90 level 3 start with that. Thier bios makes everyone's look like thier's is from the 80's!!!!! What I saw, should be standard across the board for all mobo's = it is that clean, that nice and futuristic looking!!!!!! Silver like in color. Not sure if your case is atx or Eatx Xtreme is Eatx. The Asus Hyperion, is the case you should be looking into along with a 4090 or wait for 5090. Unless, you have a 4090 already.
