At minute 2:44 - Should have used the plastic cpu holder.... just needed to push it into the holder a little until it clicks.... then install the cpu.

are u sure u put the m2 into the more optimal socket?
@TechGuruAndrew6 жыл бұрын
yes without a doubt.
@wasd31086 жыл бұрын
@@TechGuruAndrew so putting it next to the GPU where it's more heated, disabling the 2 SATA ports in BIOS is the optimal choice for you? Instead of putting it to _1 slot and have it cooler (arguably) and no sata slots disabled? you're just a dip, look at the dislikes you literally stuttered and read it M2 MVM like you read it for the first time (which I think you did)

when the video was created i didn't have VGA card and no need for more sata connection now i use the first slot thanks cheers :)

@@TechGuruAndrew But you put the M.2 drive in slot _2, not slot _1. Slot _1 would be the first slot.. ^^ It's okay to be a rookie at something but maybe not so smart to share what you do with others who might be rookies as well. And why on earth are you using rubber gloves?
@hodlwise24705 жыл бұрын
@@ScottGLund looks like he's using latex gloves which defeats the purpose of wearing gloves as an anti-static preventative measure, as latex can still conduct static electricity. You want Nitrile gloves for that and gloves are a lot easier than being tethered to an object via an anti-static bracelet. But yeah, this was really hard to watch Borat fumble around trying to teach people to do something he's obviously never done before.

Is worth this motherboard to use the sli with two Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Dual? I also want to use Intel Core I7-8700K. What's the PSU that you recommend? are 650W enough? PS: Thanks for the video

Dude, For Cofee lake procesors (8th gen) you need a z370 chipset, not this one, cause the pin distrubution in LGA 1151 socket for 7th gen processors is different than the LGA 1151 (v2) for 8th gen (Como por tu nombre puedo ver que hablas español, necesitas una placa madre con chipstet z370, porque aunque tengan el mismo socket, la distribucion de pines del socket de octava es diferente al de septima, asi que esta placa madre no te sirve para procesadores de octava)

you're right, I didn't see the title of the video so well, sorry. Thank you for the advice I was looking for the asus prime z-370. (Gracias por escribir en español pero tambien se algo de ingles para entenderlo, aun asi, gracias por la respuesta)

@TechGuruAndrew6 жыл бұрын
only one ram if you want dual must buy the dual channel ram
@Jimsathome6 жыл бұрын
@@TechGuruAndrew The Ram slots are "paired" and colored differently to make it easy for Dual Channel. With the CPU to the top and Ram slots on right (as in the video) use the Grey ones first.

Lads pay attention on video name - this video is about installing M.2, not about where to install better. - His mistakes: 1. He forgot to install M.2 spacer first so he did it later; 2. By ASUS handbook - M.2_1 at the bottom is primary than M.2_2 in middle where he installed it; 3. M.2_1 disables SATA one slot, M.2_2 disables two SATA 5, 6 slots; 4. He installed RAM in wrong place - first go to grey slot. Unless he just want show how to do that - in that case he is very clumsy and by fitting it with one hand you have a risk to brake it. You should hold it at both ends and press gently down and secure it with clips on the ends. - Anyway it was worth to try to do video, just it's very risky to do mistakes when you are watching videos like this. Conclusion - video useless and misleading - in ASUS handbook you can find more information than in this video. Andrew you should explain not how to do but why as well and read ASUS handbook first before doing something. -------------- Ok there is task for you: explain 1. how M.2 works with SATA slots; 2. procesors and Z270 chip compatibility; 3. M.2 NVME, SATA, SATA III speeds and DATA transfer speed threw USB 3.0 and 3.1; 4. What types of M.2 SSD fits motherboard - M, B, M+B key; 5. Thunderbolt option; 6. TPM option; 7. RGB support; 8. BIOS settings; RAID function and so on. It's very interesting just make it professional. Good luck.

Nice comment but the M.2 slot bit is totally wrong. The one on the top (closest to the CPU) is M.2_1 according to Z270-P Prime manual. Yes it disables Sata_1 port when you use the M.2_1 slot because of the Pci-e lanes being occupied by the M.2_1 port. There are only two Nvme (M key) M.2 slots in this motherboard.
