The only thing missing on this test is single large file say 50GB transfer. Windows has bunch of small files which has bunch of small files which is not stressing SSD much. Single large file transfer would utilize full maximum bandwidth and would give an idea about temperature and also write cache of the drive corresponding throttled speed.

This probably has an ASM2464PD chip, that’s the only one that reaches those speeds I think. Those chips pull 8 watts when transferring, and 3 or 4 watts when not transferring, on a 40 Gbps link. They either need a fan or a big chunk of aluminum with a good thermal pad. So your choices are either lightweight & kinda noisy, or heavy. If one of those two options is a substantially better choice for you, you already know which style you prefer. If you don’t know, either style will probably work for you just fine.

It doesn't have great reviews on AMZ, I am looking at grabbing either this or one of the Acasis for 4k/6k editing and large medium format photo editing with 200mb files so I am trying to be curious about what will be reliable enough

Using windows 11, do u guys do this Right-click the drive on which you want to turn disk write caching on or off, and then click Properties. Click the Policies tab. Click to select Better performance. Click to select Enable write caching on the device. Only by enable this, my write speed is bump up from 500Mb/s to 2600MB/s
