Technics is a company from Panasonic. It started in 1965. They make high end stereo components. This is a multifunction CD player. It was remarkable in the mid-1990's. These can last one a life time if its taken care of. You can order a manual off the Internet for free. It will work with mod. PD-687 too. I had one with pitch control. you could speed up or slow down the playback. I wish I knew the model number.
