Your phone must be defective because I run my phone to its limits and still have plenty of juice at the end of the day. That's with the graphics maxed out full brightness also, and I play cod mobile at maxed out game settings for hours and it still lasts forever. Also the super fast charging is a plus! :)

I .getting almost two days of use before my phone dies. I use it at the gym for music. KZbin during work web browsing and minor games. Every night when I go to bed my phone still has over 55% battery life.

Yes, I am having the same exact problem. I also had the same thing on my Z flip, Z Fold and Z Fold 2. All Z phones started having the issues with the Android 11 update. The S21 Ultra came with Android 11 but started having battery problems after about a week. I am getting 2 days of STANDBY and 1 day of moderate use, when I first got the phone I got 1.5-2 days of moderate and 1 full day 8+ hours of heavy use.

Same here. I got the phone jan 28 in USA. I was having 3-4 hours of SOT. Dark mode, adaptive battery, 120hz adaptive refresh rates, almost all the apps are in sleep mode. I also had the heating issue while using camera and light use. I sent the device for the repair (as return process was complicate because of trade-in and $250 preorder cedit issue). Samsung repair said it is not a hardware issue and their February patch is supposed to fix it and shipped the device back. I updated the phone and the battery problem is still there. I hardly get 4 hr SOT. I use most of the time listening to youtube in background over buds pro, facebook, reddit, amazon,webull etc. I don't even play games. Carrier is T-mobile (may be it is the issue but it shows full bars of 5G almost all the time). The phone also heats very fast. I don't know what to do as the phone has already passed 14 days of return period.

The days I taxed it to see what results I would get gave me 7 1/2 to 8+, I'm amazed, knew it would be good but not this good. 512 Snap model 2 weeks usage. I feel like you may have a defective unit. See what you can do to get a replacement. I definitely don't have that experience. Right now I'm at over 3 hours of screen on time, 70 percent battery, and just over 13hrs used. I'll go all night and through til tomorrow night until I charge at bedtime. That's pretty much standard for my use, but mileage does vary quite a bit. On stock settings, mid resolution, 120hz adaptive, auto bright, etc etc. Hope you get it resolved 👍

The biggest killer of your battery is irregular charging. You can even restore a battery's last if you simple start only charging it once it has completely run down, and letting it charge completely.

you can performs these settings to save more battery life 1. Connection>more connections settings> disable nearby device settings 2. Location>improve accuracy >disable A. Wifi scanning B. Bluetooth scanning . 3. Google >click on 3dot>usage and diagnostics >off this option. 4. Long press on each app specially 3rd party(LIKE FACEBOOK, INSTA,KZbin) and rarely used and ON "GOOGLE APP" as well then click on>app info> then go to these 3 options below on by one A. Mobile data> allow background data usage>off B. Battery >allow background activity >off C. Notification >disable unnecessary notifications like promotional and unnecessary reminder notifications. 5. Device care>battery >power mode>select "optimised" and "adaptive power saving". And then click on "app power management > And enable these 2 options. A. Adaptive battery B. Put Unused Apps to Sleep. 6. Go to settings >apps>search "weather" >click on settings icon right side > change "auto refresh" settings as per your requirements and disable some unnecessary reminder. 7. If you use Facebook frequently then disable "auto play video" And if you are mostly uses mobile on wifi connection then also disable "auto play videos" in KZbin.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in Phatom Black and Silver (pictures on my community tab) the battery life on this phone is awesome. Not sure how many apps you have running in the background. You might want to limit apps with Bouncer and turn off 5g, and wifi scanning etc, to get a better battery life. Also quad HD drains the battery faster, you can just turn it down to 1080p and turn on power saving mode. Not sure what is going on with your phone but I get awesome battery life on this phone. You might want to take yours back, lol...🤣

NFC is always on, always on display, Bluetooth is always on, brightness is usually kept at 60% in doors until night, more if I'm outside. I don't baby any of my phone's when it comes to battery. If they can not handle my usage, I simply get rid of them lol.

I just got mine two days ago and having the same issue... literally regular browsing usage and the battery drains by almost half within a few hours. It didn't even last me a whole day. Worse yet, the video recording is faulty, it gives random "jitters" during filming, whether it's in FHD 30, 60, or Auto, and it also does it in UHD 60 as well. Brought the device back at my mobile provider and they exchanged it today and this new one is doing the same exact thing!. Called Samsung to troubleshoot, and they had me re-download the latest software update; reset the camera; as well as an additional factory reset and nothing works. Faulty device and I am honestly very disappointed. Gonna return it once again tomorrow to see if a third device does the same thing :/ (I mean, c'mon Samsung.... )

I have Bluetooth on, location on, Sync on, and watching KZbin videos all day With 12 percent left I have 10 hours 26 with screen on time. I am very satisfied. Now the thing I hate is the adaptative display bug , they say it's only in the U.S but the problem is also in Canada. As of July 2022 with Android 12 and all the other updates the bug is still there, as long as you touch the screen it will be at 120 Hz but once you don't touch it it goes back to 60 Hz.

Most new phones have initial issues until they get a fair amount of software updates. I would expect the battery life issue to be resolved soon. It's got to be a software issue. My Fold 2 has a smaller battery, two screens (one of which is enormous and 120Hz refresh) and roughly twice the daily battery life you have right now.

it's always been the case for me with last 3 android smartphones, great battery life for a few days, then it went to poops ( even not playing games even , only photos, camera , media consumption , everything from google play.. ) thinking about getting an iPhone, but not sure if it gets better. Seems that all these apps, data in the background and everything you have no way to stop, even turning power sawing mode, restricting background ability not giving me a result of a few days of a fresh install.. I have fresh install phone with 7 hours, then without installing everything else its 3/4 hours and when I tried to go all nuts with 100 chrome tabs, 100 brave tabs its exactly 3/4 hours lol wtf ..

I bought this exact phone as soon as it was launched. I'm on my phone from the moment I wake up to when I fall asleep. Music plays from Spotify the entire time, and I'm constantly watching videos or scrolling social media. My screen brightness is set at 50%. It is February 5, 2023 and my battery still has 25% or more by the time I plug it in each night.

Good for you, some of us are experiencing crappy batteries, I'm from a Pixel 5, and that tiny phone's battery/software optimization works wonders, 8-9 hours sot. Kinda disappointed really after moving to an S21 ultra. Aint getting the "Ultra luxury" feeling here.

My exynos unit running the January patch has a disappointing battery life, honestly. They still haven’t pushed the AUB9 firmware to my country. Those AUBx firmwares are supposed to be the one that fixed the battery life (because I remember Saf had a meh battery life before he received this update but now, the battery life is excellent he said). So yeah, I’m still waiting for that update since they’re very slow here.

I think I understand what is the meaning of screen on time. I had my phone battery fully charged. The USED and Screen On Time showing 0 minute. After using the phone for FB, IG, Amazon, the USED and Screen On Time have a counter of minutes started. Then I stopped using the phone, the time counter for USED is still continuing but the Screen On Time doesn't increase until I started to accessing apps. In order to know the estimated time of the battery, should refer to the counter below the bar chart, which showing in hrs and min.

This phone isn't even on the market ANYWHERE " I wonder why" lol. Mine kept completely shutting down. In the middle of phone calls & while on apps. One day it hung up on the person I was talking to 10 times in a half an hour! I am NOT exaggerating. After 3 days of both problems I had enough. I had my phone less than 10 days! I have Verizon & never had such problems so I knew Samsung must have done something stupid to cause this to happen.

For me, the biggest drain on my battery is the SIM card. When I got my s21 ultra, I upgraded from iPhone 6s, and the battery in the 6s would die in about 30 min so I pretty much always had to plug it in. After taking the SIM card out however, my iPhone 6s stayed on for 6 hours before needing to be charged. I didn’t realize how much cellular murdered phone battery. So now I keep my SIM card in my old phone When I’m at home, and if I go out for an extended period of time I’ll put the sim in my s21. No point wearing down the battery in a 1200$ phone unless I have to.

I had the same problem when I used smartswitch to transfer my data from my note 10+ to s21 ultra. I did a factory reset and installed all apps manually. I only transferred my gallery and contacts. No problem yet

@@hearyho I saw in reddit that most of the galaxy 21 ultra users have similar SoT. Me, too. 6-7 hours. It should be normal I guess but I am bot sure. Maybe we will get improvements in next updates. Before factor resetting, the battery life was really bad. Search for "samsung galaxy s21 ultra battery life reddit". U will get many useful information. Ans what I've read and did, I deactivated google Chrome. It is draining the battery without using it. Seems to be helpful for most users with battery draining issues

@@hearyho yes, I do have the same firmware. Exynos, wqhd+, 120hz, always on display, 5g disabled since I dont have 5g in my area. I guess if you want to have 8-9 or even 8-10 hours SOT, then you have to set the screen to fhd+ and 60 Hz and everything to off. But I prefer to have screen resolution at max and 120 Hz instead of 1-2 hour more battery life without these features. I upgraded to s21 ultra for the 120 Hz. So, I'm gonna use ist.

Not sure if anyone else has this problem... But I've had my s21 ultra since November last year and for the past few weeks I'm hearing a rattle coming from the top of the phone and it's now getting to the point where audio is vibrating as if the speaker is blown or the speaker unit has come loose. What bothers me is I reached out about it and they said it can only be a possible issue if rhe device has been dropped or banged. But my phone has never been dropped, thrown or banged. I'm very careful with it annnnnd that doesn't matter apparently. So I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue

Your unit is probably defective considering not everyone has this issue but I would ask for a replacement to be sure

I have the S21 ULTRA 5G 512 GB and after an update today it's losing charge while plugged into the charger. I'm running dark mode, power saving, mid resolution, lower refresh rate, and I swear it's the update I did today. After calling AT&T support they said they can't revert back the update and can only offer a refurbished phone. This phone would last for 2 days of use before today. DAMMIT! I bought a new phone and don't want a used one from shitty AT&T !

Some must be overloading memory or got a bad batch. I initially got a 128gb then went to the 256gb. Longer owned than your s21 and both have super impressive battery longevity from the device to date.

My S21 Ultra was delivered 1/27/21 and I switched from Note 20 Ultra the moment it arrived. I've had a total of 3 updates, one immediately after turning it on and 2 since then. Battery life for me hasn't changed at all. Still great at home (WiFi/5G/LTE) and terrible at work (hospital with WiFi calling as my main connection through the entire hospital), with that said I usually get 7+ hours screen on time at home and 4-5 on a work day (8 hour at the hospital and the rest of day at home or on carrier data). So, I'm not seeing the battery life reduction at all on my device. U1 with TMO sim. Current firmware AUAJ.

I had issues with S21 Ultra 5G, where battery just ran out, after using for 3 hours, Issues started with the updates. I have contacted SAMSUNG UK for answers.

What a lot of people forget to do is use your wifi connection more than mobile data. Mobile data eats a ton of battery. Turn off adaptive brightness turn display on 60 hrtz refresh. Turn brightness down well under half. Put apps to deep sleep so they aren't running in the background. Leave dark mode on.

Untrue. I used it on 100% 5G and 100% LTE, only a 20-30 minute difference when using WiFi all day. Also, nobody should have to turn off 120hz on a $1200 phone. If you want to do that then buy a $400 Android phone

Hmm i figured it'd have something to do with the 120hz display. It sounds more like an issue that came with a recent update. As much as I like having an android, Apple is way better when it comes to fixing issues in software updates.

Same here. It's terrible. First two weeks was okay, then battery life literally halved over night. I didn't install any new apps, didn't change any settings. I also noticed the first 10-20% seem to go slow, aftet than it just drops like a rock, like 1% per minute... I think i see the same in the video here. Contacted Samsung they said it depends on how i use the device, i told them nothing changed, they insist it is the only possibility.

I m with latest AUB9 firmware ...

Glad I'm not going crazy. I only get 6 to 6.5hours screen on time. I'm using WiFi only, dark mode, low brightness and have put 95% of my apps into deep sleep. I only use it for light use too, reading articles etc, nothing heavy. Done all the other battery savings tips too minus lowering resolution. Not happy with this at all for £1200. How on earth are other people getting 10 hours???

@@TechOdyssey did it get worse after an update? Mine seems to have problems with apps going haywire with background useage. I'm gonna try uninstalling them particular apps for a few days see if that helps. Do you think using a different charger might somehow help? There's gotta be something going on because half the people I see have terrible battery and half have amazing, seems to be no in between

Exactly same problem here. And I'm on exynos. Honestly, such a performance is garbage compared to iphone 12 pro max I had before. It did last me through a full day with like 30% of battery still there .. thinking of swapping back for an iphone

Screen flickering problems.. it seems like the apps like maps .. and KZbin somehow get stuck behind something and keeps flickering and sometimes freezes

Hi, I'm in Europe & I've also had the phone from release, I get minimum 8 hours SOT over two days, the highest SOT so far is 11 hours. No complaint here, hopefully yours will be fixed after the next software patch. I not using quad HD but everything else is on. No Bluetooth or NFC.

Got my S21 Ultra Feb 5 an upgrade from s9 thought the battery was AWESOME until i got a TMobile update Feb 12. I now re charging twice daily and during my workout session i loose 25% while listening to KZbin music. Please suggest remediation for this.

I get above 8h Display On Time on the S21Ultra 512gb Exynos with 120Hz Max Res. Were 5h on my Note9 (With new Battery from Samsung around 6 Month) Accu didn't drop since one Month. Maybe look on the Battery Health or maybe some Apps? By the way: I got right this minute a urgent System Update.

I don’t know what your talking about because last years Samsung galaxy S20 ultra lasted 90 hours in battery life in our last test and with the s21 ultra the phone lasted 108 in 120 hertz and 130 hours with 60 hertz so the battery life improved drastically

My girl has it and dang no issues. All notifications as she is a social media manager. People should look if they have apps always draining or if the battery is defective.

Sounds like you have an app that is killing it to me. Find that app and either force stop it, or get rid of it.

Okay but hold on, you had 12 hours of use off a charger with 6+ sot. And then you had 18 hours of use off a charger with 3+ sot. That's still really good imo. You might have apps running in the background. IDK personally battery life has been great for me. 1440p, adaptive display, with dark mode only at night. Gets me a full day use from morning to night. With 1080p, adaptive display, dark mode all day, gets me almost 2 days. More like a day and a half. But still great battery imo.

Hi TechOdyssey, I have exact the same problem. The SOT was at the start more than 7 hours (which not exceptional to be honest) but now after almost 2 weeks and a software update the SOT dropped to barely 4 hours (no wifi, no NFC, no bluetooth, no location, 120 Hz and battery save off and just some mailing, sms, webbrowsing and radio listening via earbuds thus lite use of the phone). I live in The Netherlands and have the exynos 2100 processor (unfortunately). I am in contact with Samsung about this issue. I can exchange the phone but I guess it will not help. I forwarded your video to them and asked them if the Samsung developers to look at it so they can see I am not the only one who has this problem. I will keep you informed what their reaction is what. Geat video of you by the way :-).

Mine has only gotten better since day 1. Cell reception is horrible in my apartment so it's always searching for a signal but I still get 6 to 7+ hours SOT as a power user with adaptive refresh on full resolution

same her with the S21 i will tell you my experience the phone was given me 6 _7 screen on time but in wi_fi all the problems happen when i start to use the mobile data 4h screen on time and start heating quickly even if scrolling in social media that sacks because am out of home most the day so i use mobile data a lot .

S21ultra 5G, 11 months old,the phone developed screen burn. 1/3 white the rest a see through pinkish. Very light but from experience it will get worse. Also for me it's the worst phone for battery life. Constantly needing to charge. At night I set it on table with screen off battery at 80-100% by morning I have to charge it. Seems to drain whether using or not. I had a note 9 prior and hands down it was 100% better than this very expensive upgrade. Regret the purchase.

I've noticed on my S10+ that this happened a few times. Most time Software updates fix the issue. I've also noticed that some app updates cause battery drain. Like its optimized on update and the next its broken and draining the battery. The other issue is browser tabs. I actually was told from Samsung the more tabs that are open in your web browser the more it will drain your phone battery. Crazy but when I closed all of them my battery life vastly improved. It could be a mix of things...if it was more wide spread i would be worried...but it seems its pretty isolated.

My battery life dropped off and i literally carry an extra power source now... plus at 4 months... yesterday i got a black screen and can not reset.... despite Samsung and Best Buy warranty i have to send the phone out and go 2 weeks without... i am beside myself with angst... it may be due to using fast charge with a 3rd party charging cord or its defective... (ironic since it came without a charger and charging cord).... if this had been my I phone i would have had to go to the store... but i would have left with another phone if they could not fix it at a 4 month time frame....

Try to disable 5g completely to see if it helps. I think ur phone is trying too hard to search for 5g in the background. This always happens to phones when new radio tech is at its initial implementation stage. 5g is not stable enough to be left on auto connect.

@@TechOdyssey well you can try do a test, put the phone on airplane mode and leave wifi on. See how it goes. This wont fix ur problem, but atleast itll contribute to finding out "why"

I'm getting 24 hrs or more. Besides the usual battery tricks this really helped: I added a Bixby routine to turn off mobile data when home or work wifi detected.

Hey check please check your battery usage in settings, go-to settings - battery - battery usage and check what is consuming your battery, could be an app consuming battery in the background or a malware .

I am getting 7-8 hours of screen on time with my exynos. The Snapdragon must be a bit better. When I got my note 20 ultra it was really bad in terms of battery but after few updates the battery issue was fixed. Now my wife is using the note and she's having no issues. Samsung will fix it with update I guess.

I just got my s21 after upgrading from my s9+ on 12/31/2021. I use dark mode and other battery life savers online says plus using airplane mode when i am not on it. I have to say when I first brought the phone I charged it up and it said 2 hours 25%. Well it did last for 10 hours. But after I fully charged it and turned it on it now says 1 day, 5 hours so I fully charged it on 12/31/2021 and left it off until 1/1/2022 and it said 100% 18 hours. Well today 1/2022 8:25pm New York time zone (eastern time) it says 7 hours, 59 minutes 25%. I haven’t charged it since 12/31/2021. So I am getting really good battery life. I bet most people uses their s21 all day with the screen on every minute. I am a light user don’t have many games downloaded so I guess I am just lucky. I hope Samsung will fix this issue soon because It would suck if it doesn’t.

Have the same issue. Turned most of the apps in sleep mode. 11pm at night at 99% and I. The morning 84% no great settings. May be need to buy Pro max. Thinking about it. What do you think

Interesting - something is draining your battery. On your first screenshot, Chrome had used 36,6% of your battery...that is not normal. I just checked mine and I got 9 hours and 37 min. SOT and Chrome had used 12,2 % (active 1 hour 27 min.) And I am a heavy user. You should contact Samsung, might be a faulty unit. Otherwise try factory reset, clean install. BTW mine is the Exynos version.

I've not had a problem with battery life but I've had major issues with charging. It'll say its "Super Fast Charging" but I'll check back after 20 minutes and it won't have charged at all, despite still saying it's charging. Not sure how to fix this, I'm using an official Samsung brick and it was fine with my Note 10, never once had a problem..

Mine has been great. Today have 12.5 hours used and 5 hours 20 min of screen on time with 36% left. Using adaptive display and qhd.
