11:18 I have put the dynamic off if I’m not mistaken There is more to the nvdia hdr than you showed to manually change nits and other stuff , you access it by pressing Alt+ Z

I have just purchased a 4k 120hz tv, a Sony x85l. However when gaming from my computer I randomly get black screen for a second or two and audio cut outs

9:22 I didn’t do the hdr callibration in my monitor and that mainly is due to the fact a display reviewer said it’s not necessary But I have adjusted the rgb points in my monitor menu settings to get an accurate representation (according to the profile I got from the reviewer from his Patreon) Is it a good idea to run the hdr windows calibration ?

With the settings shown here and using HGiG, you would want to do the Windows HDR calibration per all my settings. It all works and looks fantastic to me.

@@Techthusiasm I don’t think I should do that in my case scenario cause the review had an icc profile so if I do that I would take out his icc profile for the HDR cal from windows I think he made it in mind

Hey got a quick question. Sometimes I prefer games Native HDR like Cyberpunk. Does it override RTX HDR or should i switch off before entering game? And does leaving RTX HDR always on a good choice?

The way I understand it, native will take precedence over RTX. So, if you want native, leave it on in game. If you disable in game, then RTX HDR will turn on. Sentiment seems to be that if a game has a good native HDR implementation, use it, otherwise RTX HDR. RTX does take GPU performance to run as it is an extra process, whereas native shouldn't.

Is the CX full 48 Gbps HDMI 2.1?

Some of your settings are could be improved if you want the most accurate yet impactfull RTX HDR picture on your LG G2 OLED. 12-bit is useless in nvidia settings, G2 is not a 12 bit panel, so just set to 10-bit. You are using RGB full, then you probably are using black level auto or high on your TV HDR aswell. You dont need to limit the frames in nvidia app settings. Set to gsync and vsync on, in game set vsync to off, this will auto limit to 116fps and making sure you are not above gsync limit.

Interesting. The 116 limit you mention is newer guidance. I'll have to tweak this tonight and try some Batman and drop an updated video!

LG C9 user here. Desperately would like to try Nvidia RTX HDR, but I'm one of the small number of people who have an issue with the new Nvidia App just flat out not displaying RTX HDR as an option. It's -not- just that the option to enable is 'grayed out', the entire option for RTX HDR just doesn't exist at all. RTX Dynamic Vibrance option is there; RTX HDR is not. Very, very frustrating. If anyone has a solution, I'm all ears. I'm running a single monitor set up. Windows has HDR on. I have tried with Auto HDR on and off. Windows 11 and NVIDIA app / drivers are compliant. Wtf, wtf, wtf. Any help, appreciated.

I have done exactly what you're doing- whenever I find the occasional post from someone else who has the same problem, I ask if they've found a solution.. and I haven't heard a single response. So.. I guess it's no RTX HDR for me until NVIDIA fixes the problem, and I'm not sure they know it exists.

I have the same issue! It’s simply not possible I’ve learned as of today to get HDR specifically through the GeForce Now app on the tvs Hope they fix it soon
