try disabling system-wide animations using developer options (window, transition and animator duration 0.0x or off") it tremendously increased my Zenfone 2 ZE550ML running CM12.1's battery life from barely 5~6hrs SOT to 9hrs... also restricting background data will help in standby.

I think i am very much in the minority , i just got new sony xz1 compact & find stamina & especially the ultra stamina mode a very very useful feature ( i am low 1/2 hour screen time /day avg ) . You say you might as well just get a dumb phone as use ultra stamina mode , but for me i love the compact top flight features when i need them but most of the time i just need a phone as a phone so battery life is a big win on ultra stamina mode . In essence i have a near top of range smart phone when you need it , or a long life battery powerhouse dumb phone when you just need a phone . For me this is the best of both worlds . This is just my thoughts . Tks for all your tips .

From my experience, logging out from the facebook app and selecting 'battry saving' in the location setting really help alot, bt thn again it helps in almost every other android phone!

venom snake it's​ been like more than a year that I don't have this phone anymore. I only tested it with lollipop, but battery wasn't so good. I don't know if marshmallow or Nougat improved it. But it's a good phone.

hi i have sony m4 aqua i first time i charge in stamina mode i can use in 2 days now i empty the battery i make it full charge but in stamina mode says 20 hours how i charge to make longer ?? +Tech Trinkets

The most important is slow charging... Just charge your phone with stock charger which I believe is 1A

Alfonso Tirado It runs warm but I think alot of it is hype, Sony pushed out an update to throttle it.

Tech Trinkets it isn't hype the only overheating issue is when shooting 4k video anything else is fine all phones get warm including my iphones and samsungs but the z3 + when shooting 4k shuts down the camera after an average of about 4 minutes of use but in the manual it states to try to shoot 4k videos for no more than 2 minutes. which is fair as 4k is straining on any phone processor.
