It depends on how you look at it, we don't see new windows versions being released every year. And Windows 11 needs TPM 2.0 which is a hardware feature that many devices that were released until recent times lack. It's not an apple to apple comparison. (I hope you got the pun.. iOS.. macOS.. 😂)

Im using android 10 on Samsung galaxy A9 (2018) the phone still works. I have features like nfc payment, splitscreen, popup window thanks to samsung. The camera quality is pathetic, and charging is SLOW. But the phone still works. Planning to get the Pixel 8, would be an amazing jump from Android 10 to Android 16.

My Samsung Phone will only get 4 gens of OS. Sad Life I need to change my phone if any vulnerable things happen, or my phone gets outdated. The Thing is that it's 4 gen software updates and 5 years security update. Now am thinking how is Samsung going to make it happen, cause my old phone Redmi stopped getting Play System Update after just 1 year. So, if the same applies will my Play system update not be received and I only receive Security update, which is quite confusing. Now, the only way is Samsung or the brand responding to these questions.
