Mini PC's have come a long way. I love the idea of them. Especially since many of them are extremely affordable. Be coo lto 3d print a holder or something onto a graphics tablet and make it look like an all in one and kidn of build your own diy surface pro type pc.

That's laptop CPU, by the way. This is basically a laptop with a dedicated graphics card, and lots of bling. Which honestly is a better investment that buying a laptop for art, since you're going to want a decently big screen anyway, so a laptop screen doesn't cut it But calling it a mini PC is a bit sneaky, since it's a mobile CPU that it uses. With only 6 cores as well.

A laptop is a PC. Majority of Mini PC use laptop components. You're confusing the term PC with Desktop.

Mini PC's like this with soldered components make no sense to me because they have all the drawbacks of a laptop( soldered cpu, gpu & irreplaceable mobo) with none of the benefits( built in screen and battery, trackpad & mouse). Makes way more sense to just build a mini ITX PC in a compact case with none of those drawbacks.

Mini ITX PC builds can be a significant challenge depending upon the case, and especially with the size of GPU's which can be prohibitive (with the caveat that if you do a watercooled version you may fare better), but they are usually very cute once done. There's something very cool about a smaller footprint on the desk.

Thank you so much for this video! I love mini stuff. And a mini PC that enables us to also play games and render things, is amazing. No more heavy and big PC's! Could you make a video about which laptop is worth the money for simple blender rendering and some photoshop painting/ editing? Macbook Air? Macbook Pro? Any windows laptops better and cheaper than apple? A comparison would be nice. I need to buy a new one and not sure if I keep a windows laptop or go for an apple one.
@JCGCompositions2 ай бұрын
My uneducated reply is that Painting and Rendering are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Digital Painting takes only a modest computer, while Rendering can take a full on gaming rig. If you leave out the video games and rendering, any PC will do. But if you want to render, especially animation, expect to pay near $2,000.

I'm a 3D Artist, and I would have that thing crying for momma in about 5 seconds. It is definitely not for me. It's also important to note that laptop components are built for power efficiency first and performance second. So they tend to perform significantly lower than the desktop counterpart. Nvidia's GPU's are specifically known for this. The Mobile 4090 is known to be more like a 4080. As the saying goes "There's no replacement for displacement".

nah just build your own mini ITX in a formed T1. Yes its expensive but you can reuse the parts and its very easy to build in. There are too many tutorials online. Its extremely easy and people should just learn in 2024 #1 rule in technology BUY ONCE CRY ONCE. This prebuilt PC will break and you will be screwed The T1 can basically fit any and all PC parts you want.

While I personally agree with this sentiment, there are plenty of people you simply will not be able to convince to ever build a PC. It can be scary to attempt it on your own with no one there to help guide you. Had my friend build my first system for that reason. Now I also assist others building their first PCs as it can be too daunting to understand all the components at once.
@nascentnaga2 ай бұрын
@@lego_minifig I mean I should start a business building people PCs then. Its crazy to buy prebuilds. The waste is like lottery tickets. I would never buy one from a start up. The warranty and issues related to bugs and crashes do you really expect them to have good customer service? Just buy a MacBook or laptop from a typical manufacturer with a warranty if you don't want to build a PC is my take

None of this is directed at you Brad! ---------------- Ofc they're using ai buzzwords for something that doesn't actually use or need ai.. "DLSS 3 Technology leverages advanced AI to boost frame rates, enhance your FPS, and improve image quality." Soooo just settings and hardware capability...which they seem to repeat with other advertised capabilities by saying "you can easily use programs to make neural networks and other-" yeah no duh that's what happenes when you have good graphics cards, and cpus, you can do those and soo many other things, but's not ai! It's just a buzzword that's real cringy to use but hey it brings in the cash cows who don't usually think further than shiny. The case and water cooling is literally the only difference compared to other small form factor pcs that is actually cool and different, but one can find better performers on the market...especially if it's anything but intel, like come on I still recall there being quite a lot of issues with intel compared to amd a few years back that hasn't quite caught up or been fixed yet.. The cost too omg, better results elsewhere.

And all to continue datascraping/colonizing our attention, interests, hobbies, etc. But yeah, I hope chu have a good day bean, thankie for your animation courses 💙🐦

Perspective from an it person and artist as wel: this product is a full on scam imo. A desktop pc that’s supposed to have the same specs is almost half the price. The only thing this product really has going for it is size and design. I can build a mini its build(almost the same size for the same price with better specs) and if something breaks it’s easier to replace. Think ram cpu etc
