Sparsely visited area of the mine, with artifacts and vintage explosives! Yet another reason this mine was just gated.

If it's 70° year round, I'd definitely be putting in an apartment to live in.

Pretty cool and possibly a nice place to bug out to in the event that shtf I'd stockpile supplies like fresh water and food someplace down there

War Eagle - 2013 - a nice adit to explore for a group of explorers with flashlights and not much other equipment. Walked in to the drawworks area and at that point realized how large this mine might be...we exited and made our way back to camp. I have always considered this a ‘must return to’ location. Thanks Chris for saving this area!!!

That's a trip into a time that can't be repeated. OSHA would have a field day in there.

I wonder if those collapsed areas were caused by later explosions elsewhere in the mine.

To a green horn like me some of that looked iffy as far as some of the bracing went. Some large "open" areas down there.

This was one of the areas I was going to come back to to document , but soon I would like to hit you up on face book and see about coming out with my OTG family and doing some walkthroughs . I’ve told my step daughter about this place and she can’t believe it goes through a mountain and has a huge trestle on the back end
@tecopamines2 жыл бұрын
The one that goes through the mountain is a different mine altogether but the two do connect. And yeah, I’d love to have you come out some time.
@otgexploring2 жыл бұрын
@@tecopamines yeah as soon as I said that and hit send I was like damn it not the same place but he will know what I’m talking about .

Look for old graffiti left by the miners. Would a drone work in there?

That USS colored cardboard box is not all that old. It has to be well past WWII.
@drewconrad70932 жыл бұрын
Does that connect to the Noonday mine? The drill steel looks like a removeable bit would go on the end.
@tecopamines2 жыл бұрын
They do connect in a couple of places.

I'd think those bent shovels were used to scrape material from the ore chutes into the ore cars. At least that's what I'd use them for.

You should lower a go pro camera down that hole !!!

Do you not feel the need to deal with old dynamite that you find? Is there a way to neutralize it?
@tecopamines2 жыл бұрын
I’ve studied the issue and talked to a few experts. It’s still dangerous but the risk is low if it’s left alone. Most of it is in areas off the beaten path so I note the locations and just let it be.
@robertsnyder51492 жыл бұрын
I'd like to keep watching this but the way you keep jerking the camera around, I'm getting dizzy.

The rock you dropped could destroy something below like a wood latter or other. It's your property so do what you want. Bad habit for other youtubers though.
@tecopamines2 жыл бұрын
That’s why I just used a little rock. Also I was pretty sure it was an old ore chute, meaning it was made for rocks to go down it. But yes, I do use that method very sparingly because I’m not trying to wreck things.
@Hi_Mommy953 Жыл бұрын
What you should do is pick up some rocks about the size of your fist and paint them red or pink or blue and then throw them down the shaft and you'll know if that's the one or not very cool love your videos going to have to come up and visit I live in San Bernardino

You know what I would like to do I would like to sweep the mind out just to see how much gold is left on the floor from the mining of 100 years ago they had to have spillage would be cool to vacuum or sweep the mine out and slice it just to see what's there
