I recently had an argument with a conservative over Israel and Palestine. He claimed that using from the river to the sea is hate speech, i disagreed because the way students use it is not supporting an Israeli genocide, but i understand the argument he made. Then he said that everyone supporting the Palestinians supports Hamas. I couldn't stand for that. The thing that caught me oof guard was that he agreed that what is going on is a genocide. So, the logical thing to take from our conversation was that, he knows its a genocide, and he supports it. The people we have to go up against aren't misinformed or misguided. They are just bad people.

Well now I know why it took over 14 hours to get into surgery despite a 2 min ambulance ride to WK and less than 5min in ER they immediately knew I need my appendix removed. In a gaslit pain med fog I was put in a 3rd floor room and told they treat appendicitis’ with antibiotics & then hours later - the next day - they were rushing me quick as hell to surgery. As soon as the camera pierced my belly it ruptured. I woke up when I should have if things had gone right. But they hadn’t so I woke up with my stomach cut from my breast to my pelvis and staff screaming for a pain pump. 2 weeks in hospital 2 week minimum off work & went back bc I was financially ruined by then. Then I got this letter that the request to “look in the belly” was denied. But like, whatever man I’m gutted & done with so… Well now I know why I waited all night and the next day. If I would have died they wouldn’t have told my children the truth. More than anything that’s what pisses me off most because my children would have lived the rest of their lives mad at me for not making it to the hospital in time. It would have been my fault. That’s fucked up isnt? I love the kid. I wish I could protect him or do my part to keep him alive & free. Being an absolute pacifist is useless, just like my words. I just needed to get them out. I bet there’s 1000’s of situations like mine but mama did die. And no one told her kids the truth. Tragic.

I had a press pass at America fest, it was astoundingly low attendance, workers at the convention center commented about how it was way fewer than predicted, and no shit every time I’d go by, (in and out all day), 90% of the people in and around the convention center had press passes or other special credentials. I can’t speak for the day Trump was there personally, but I was told by people they were still way under expected turnout. Every other day though, no joke, overwhelming, scorching majority had credentials
