My favorite tiny moment is when Ted excitedly tells them he plans to spend all day Facetiming Henry, you can see Rebecca react. She knows exactly what kind of shitty day he's in for and that's when she decides to save him.

I actually went to university in Richmond in 2007-2009, including living there. Ted's place, with Mae's pub, leading to the park across the street is a real location just south of Richmond High Street and is just as gorgeous as portrayed (the interior of the pub is a set, however). Another amazing location is where Ted met Keeley while she was filming an ad in episode 2 of season 1 (when they got snapped by the photographer in what looked like an intimate moment): the top of Richmond Hill. It overlooks ALL of west London and on a sunny day you can see for miles. There's also a pub up there called the Roebuck and they let you take your drinks outdoors so you can sit on benches and watch the sunset. It is, without a doubt, my perfect place. Just be warned, Richmond is the second wealthiest borough in London, so everything costs more there, including hotels.

@@walrus2515 here's the funny thing. Both this episode and the Beard episode were not originally written for S2. It was going to be a 10 episode season once again. Apple begged Jason and the other creators for two more episodes. Hence 'Carol of the Bells' and 'Beard After Hours'.

I love this episode so much. It first aired in August '21, and I made sure to watch it again on Christmas Eve '21 and '22. It's a new annual tradition for me. And you can watch it with people who don't know the show, it's just a feel good episode for everyone.

Definitely has been a popular addition to my every year holiday watch list. I love Christmas episodes on shows in general (I have some cheesyball in me not ashamed to admit!). I watch the movie “The Holiday”, all the Christmas episodes from New Girl, and this Ted Lasso episode twice in between thanksgiving and Christmas. That’s my current playlist anyway and Ted will stay for ages due to being the newest addition. Love love love this one!

I actually really love this episode as well! & I believeee its technically filler too(?) I think the season was written for 10 episodes, but they were given 2 extra by the studio. So they added this Christmas episode, and one OTHER episode later, (avoiding spoilers). Which I CANNOT WAIT for you guys to see that 'controversial' episode lmao

Not sure how hard this part hits for non-londoners, but this episode also does a great job of showing 'London' culture; that is, a homogenization of many different cultures from various immigrant communities to the point where nobody in London is really considered an immigrant anymore. English football teams are made of players from all sorts of different countries and nationalities, as are the English as a people. The more we embrace that (those of us that live in London at least), the more amazing our culture becomes.

The only thing that's off-putting is your weird obsession with Ted and Rebecca getting together. You guys get 90% of the show wrong and miss a lot of important references, but that part is okay, but you're making up stories based on what other shows do with their male and women protagonist. Ted Lasso is a different show, of course, they will show a proper story of a friendship between two people of the opposite sex that doesn't have to be romanticized. But this need of Ted and Rebecca getting together based on.... the fact that he's a man and she's a woman is so... 😒

@celinelia8127 Жыл бұрын

@Cio Lake I know Jamie was at home, that's why it was a stupid question. The episode highlighted Higgins open home specifically for the players who didn't have family to see, which was all the players from outside the UK. Not Jamie. I'm also perfectly aware of tropes, and expectations based on themes in the show. Nothing in the show has presented red and Rebecca being romantically involved *at all*.
