"He's not rude, he's just Dutch." had me rolling on the floor laughing. I was a corner marshal for sportscar racing. Have quite a few friends from all over the world. At an event here at Road Atlanta, I discovered that at the 24hrs of Daytona (I couldn't make it that year) a pack of my people ended up at a 'biker bar'. My Dutch friend was with them. Didn't like the way the bikers treated their ladies, and told them so. I asked him, "..so, how did that work out for you?" He said, "I saw my first handgun." Yeah, they're like that.

@@FrankFreezy_ yeah, they didn't really want to shoot him, they were just trying to scare him. He was Dutch. Just 'practical', not scared. Got out of it. "Okay, I will leave now, should not have been here in the first place." 😄Weird thing, he lives in the US now. Fell in love with one of our lady marshals here, and moved to Oklahoma! Still talks about how vast the US actually is. "No wonder you want cheap petrol. There's no trains or busses, you use four times as much as we do back home.."

I saw someone say something else regarding Ted and Sharon's interaction in episode 2. They said that Ted is the type of person that has a certain energy and almost expects people to react and give him back the same level of that energy, but Dr. Sharon is completely different. She doesn't allow him to charm or mask even his internal conflicts with his over the top-bubbly personality. And a LOT of people I've seen that do an initial reaction to this show feel like Dr. Sharon is just being standoffish or even cold, but truly she's just not giving Ted back the same energy that he's giving, and she is absolutely under ZERO obligation to. I think it's a super dangerous and toxic way to live if we always expect people to accommodate to us, or to center ourselves and our agendas in a conversation or when meeting new people. And unfortunately, even though his intentions are purely kind and just trying to get to know someone, Ted does this a lot. I LOVED that you saw the actual intention and truth behind what Dr. Sharon was giving in that scene. And just reminds me how much I enjoy watching your reactions.
@FrankFreezy_5 ай бұрын
I totally agree. It’s gonna be toxic and unfortunately a lot of people do it subconsciously. That’s some peoples default. And sometimes it takes someone like Dr. Sharon calling it out for you to even be aware of it. Shout out to her. And shout out to you for always pointing out some of the best parts of the episode.🫡😊🧡

I thought it was going to be a reference to the Cinderella character or something 🤣Gus is welcome anytime ❤ At the end of ep202 you said something like "talk to them first, isn't that what you were doing with Higgins" but Ted was actually saying the opposite. This made me realize that even if Ted didn't get the team's approval, it's ok, because it's really not up to them but up to him as their coach to decide. (Though yes, personally I would have liked it to be a conversation/vote)

When it comes to dating I've had numerous bad experiences and have adopted the mindset Ted has with people "I'll never let anyone get by me without understanding they might be hurting inside" People aren't perfect, but people often aren't malicious either. Most pain is incidental as a cause of unresolved issues. Even those that hurt me can never make me stop wishing the best for them because they may not see it, but I can see the hurt in them. I hope they find peace. To steal a quote from Ted, "I hope that either all of us or none of us are judged by the actions of our weakest moments, but rather by the strength we show when and if we're ever given a second chance"

34:55 no you're not wrong to consider that a spoiler. the people that say things like that either A: truly don't realize they are spoiling something, or B: just dont care and want to be the first to tell you so they can say, "see i told you, you would like Jamie" maybe even some combination of both for some. either way it's absolutely your right to say how you fell just like they spoil things for you. you are NOT being picky. I usually do one long comment as I watch. I agree, this show brings out such good vibes in this community. The yips are super taboo, yet common, in baseball in particular. Like all of a sudden a player can’t pitch or hit how they used to overnight. All of season 1 I kept thinking “I can’t wait until Frank sees the therapy dynamics in season 2”. Me and you have very similar experiences with our marriages, even down to the timing and our ages. Don’t worry about video length. We love your insight and it just means more time for Frank to accompany me while I work from home. I love how they got the real life Phillip and Holly as a cameo to interview Jaime. As well as the real life commenters there with Roy Enjoying this series with you. It’s one of my favorite things to open KZbin and see. A detail: I realized during re-watching pieces of Episode 2 today with you that for most of the first season the majority of Ted and Rebecca's interaction was with Hannah Waddingham speaking her lines while chewing. The majority of the exchanges happened in Rebecca's office, in the morning, as Ted would deliver the day's ration in shortbread. Another reason, if we needed any more, to commend her performance in establishing such an important relationship in the show while masticating and obviously twisting her facial expressions. I will look out for more of her interesting multitasking while consuming as we progress. It adds to their exchanges a certain informality and immediacy.

Bringing Jaime back without talking to the team, AFTER specifically telling Sam it wasn't gonna happen is one of my few complaints about the writing. And looking at it another way, I feel it was only done as a cliffhanger for the purpose of keeping the audience in suspense. (so in a meta way - the decision [to not warn the team] doesn't fit with the character making it) Also Gus being short for Humongous is an amazing name for a cat.

As a person who has been single (by choice) for a long time, at no point did I ever think you were being disrespectful to single people. I am single because I recognize the faults I have, and before I take those out on another person, I need to address those myself. One thing about Ted's distrust of therapists that many miss is that he and his wife started couples therapy with a therapist that she had been "going to for a while." This is poor practice by the therapist, which may have led to Ted feeling like he was set up. They should have started couples therapy with a different therapist.

Let's meet in the middle. The people will stop putting up Spoilers, if you stop pausing the videos to speak for 5 minutes. In the same sense that, you like watching TV series' or movies without getting any spoilers. The audience loves watching reactors, react as if they are in the movie theater or watching a TV show or movie with a friend at home. As in , you wouldn't be able to pause it then, so why pause it now.
@kiml.15656 ай бұрын
"We're going to continue spoiling unless you stop pausing" is a weird take. Those are two unrelated topics. I like when an insightful and thoughtful reactor like Frank pauses to discuss things. And I'd much rather that he pause than keep talking over the episode and miss things. And if I get into an in-depth conversation in the middle of watching something with friends, I absolutely DO pause the episode so that we can talk, because it'd be obnoxious to do that while the episode is ongoing. So -- don't act like your personal gripe is everyone's opinion.
