Ted was in Louisville Kentucky, opening for KISS and him and his band, with Derick, came to a club where I was "teching" for 1 of the guitar players that was playing. The band asked me to ask Ted if he'd like to come up and play a song. Ted told me he'd come back to the dressing room. He came back and for 20 minutes, he talked and joked and was the nicest, funniest people you'd ever want to meet. He and his entire band got up and played for almost an hour !! Way cool !

I first started to listen to Nugent in 1976, the year I started to work for UPS. We would all, semi- truck unloaders and sorters sing his songs throughout the night, to get through the night. It was crazy!! Forty teenage boys screaming out the lyrics to his songs! The interview by Sammy with Ted was one of the best I’ve watched, I loved it. Two guys with a lot of energy! AWESOME❗️

I was working as an assistant engineer in 1975 at the Sound Pit where Nugent made his first solo album "Ted Nugent" . I worked during the day and they came in at night to work. Nugent had a wall of Marshalls set up in the large studio. No other guitar player who came through there had more than one or two amps.

I first came across Ted after my parents divorced, and it was stranglehold that first got my attention. the best divorce song ever written and one of the best solos on record. the answer to Sam or Dave is always SAMMY! Van Halen was damn lucky to get him. Two great rockers! Great interview especially with “Sam or Dave” I got a lot of shit over the years for liking Sam and what I try to explain is that it is two totally different things. Diamond Dave was all rock, party and energy and with Sammy there is just a spiritual element. Ted seemed to always be Ted but I feel Ted developing into a real and honest force of personality that just exudes all that he is all the time. That kind of pure honesty within oneself is (a one of a kind.)

There are very few guitar guys who own the instrument like Uncle Ted does. Reverend BFG is another. Eddie was another. Sammy and Mr Nugent should do a supergroup album together.
