Sammy Hagar heads to Ted Nugent's ranch for a one-of-a-kind road trip. Ted takes Sammy on a wild 4-wheelin' ride and teaches him archery. The two then sit down in Ted's living room to discuss the classics and jam to “Jenny Take A Ride.”

Ted was in Louisville Kentucky, opening for KISS and him and his band, with Derick, came to a club where I was "teching" for 1 of the guitar players that was playing. The band asked me to ask Ted if he'd like to come up and play a song. Ted told me he'd come back to the dressing room. He came back and for 20 minutes, he talked and joked and was the nicest, funniest people you'd ever want to meet. He and his entire band got up and played for almost an hour !! Way cool !

Pearl Jam is one of my favorite bands, but I HAVE A FEELING that if you asked Eddie Vedder and the boys what their favorite Ted Nugent song is, you'd get two great answers and three explanations about how problematic they find helicopter hunting and "misogynistic comments" about Hillary Clinton that preceded any answer given. Ask a clean-and-sober Ted Nugent who "musical greatness" is, and he names the biggest junkie in rock history without batting an eye or qualifying it first. Ask "Redneck Backwoods" Uncle Ted about James Brown and you get nothing but praise for the gifts bestowed upon us by Soul Brother Number One. Ask Old Man Ted about whether previous eras of rock n roll dominance were better than today's KPop, Mumble Rap, and Cookie Cutter bands? He tells you TODAY has the best music because it's an accumulation of all of it. Ted is a national treasure and is EVERYTHING the "more conscientious bands" claim to be, but never deliver on. ENTHUSIASM for music...PASSION for the people who make it....RESPECT for those who came before AND after. This comment goes out to all of that Nashville pussy. I didnt come here to be mellow.

hell yeah!! if I was sitting in Sammy's chair, I would have thanked Ted for all the times his music just blew me away. I first came across Ted after my parents divorced, and it was stranglehold that first got my attention. the best divorce song ever written and one of the best solos on record. the answer to Sam or Dave is always SAMMY! Van Halen was damn lucky to get him. I saw Sammy the tour before he joined VH, and out of the 1000+ shows I've seen, it is still one of the best. his solo while hanging off the lighting rig over the stage will never be forgotten. not to mention having one of the best voices in R&R. thanks guys!

Ted is as real a person as you will find. He is honest about how he feels. What more can we ask of a man.

O lord above the two biggest personalities in rock and roll and the most real and ridiculously awesome bad asses in ROCK & ROLL ever. Together in one place. I knew I felt a disturbance in the force. O LORD HELP US ALL.

Holy smokes...saw both of these guys way back in the 70's. Ted already had a long career by the time I saw him in the 70's some time, & saw Sammy when he was with Montrose! First concert ever... Montrose warmed up for Humble Pie. I am so damn glad to have grown up in the era I did!

Just amazingly great! When guitar master Ted started playing his guitar solo, I noticed the similarities to the solo from "round and round" by Ratt. He has influenced so many bands with his music!! Incredible!!👍👍👍

Two great rockers! Great interview especially with “Sam or Dave” I got a lot of shit over the years for liking Sam and what I try to explain is that it is two totally different things. Diamond Dave was all rock, party and energy and with Sammy there is just a spiritual element. Ted seemed to always be Ted but I feel Ted developing into a real and honest force of personality that just exudes all that he is all the time. That kind of pure honesty within oneself is (a one of a kind.)

There are very few guitar guys who own the instrument like Uncle Ted does. Reverend BFG is another. Eddie was another. Sammy and Mr Nugent should do a supergroup album together.
