"...most of the hungry are buying dope and whiskey." I consider myself a libertarian and I like Ted but I don't agree with that statement. In America that might be true where people who are considered impoverished are able to afford it, but in other countries kids die of hunger and famine while we have a major surplus of food and resources. I think its completely unnecessary that this still happens and I think in the future people will look back in disgust that we are throwing tons of food away just so it can be precooked ready for a drive thru, or so the shelves at the grocery stores can be full and because we buy too much and don't use it. I think we could easily feed everyone in the world with just the stuff we waste, but I'm not an expert on the topic so maybe I'm wrong but it sure wouldn't hurt to allocate resources a Little more generously.

God bless you Ted. I'm a rocker in my 20s and I'm openly a conservative. It's insane that you have to "come out of the closet" to say you're not a fucking libtard when you play Rock N' Roll. Rock N' Roll is about freedom, and right wing ideologies is where true freedom is at. And I can confirm this, plenty of people in "the scene" nowadays are: a) Liberal. Which actually means they just don't give a shit about politics. Mocking Trump just to get zombies' approval? A classic. b) "Closeted" conservatives. It's bullshit, we don't have to be afraid of expressing our views, because they are the truth. It has always been some sort of comfort that people like Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper or Joe Perry, people who inspired me, have similar views as mine. It's great to know you are not crazy. What we need is more people speaking up, because conservatism is the new counterculture, and Rock N' Roll thrives in counterculture. It's not a coincidence that Rock N' Roll is not nearly as popular ever since we don't tell the establishment to go fuck itself. Rock N' Roll will take back its rightful place as soon as we are no longer ashamed of our right wing views, proudly declare them and mock this liberal PC SJW bullshit.

Ok, so what you're saying is you want alcohol just as restricted, just as federally illegal?? You want to be able to vote and have the majority dictate people's behavior, that they shouldn't "be allowed" to do what they want in peace? Say that the majority of people decided that no one should own guns, in fact no weapons are allowed. No swords, non-kitchen knives, no bows.Would you be ok with that? Why is it ok to restrict people from a completely harmless plant that harms no one, but it's not okay to restrict people's inalienable right to own weapons??? Why isn't the same standard applied to alcohol, which used to be the #1 cause of unnatural deaths until people started getting addicted to prescription pills? Many of those pills are opiates, if the same symptoms can be treated with marijuana that would make the world a healthier, better place. Unless you really want to go back to the days of alcohol prohibition you have no argument.
@therealmimiraesir7 жыл бұрын
Dustin Harris i actually believe each state should be allowed to decide whats best for their state. If say cali votes to ban booze and allow weed then fine but dont expect another state to feel the same way. We are after all a union of states not a single entity there for each state should do what they feel suits them
@BrainUndead807 жыл бұрын
If Cali banned guns they would be restricting people's inalienable rights and those laws should be ignored and not enforced. If Texas prohibits alcohol or weed they are also infringing on people's inalienable rights, that is wrong, and those laws should be ignored and not enforced.
@therealmimiraesir7 жыл бұрын
How exactly does weed and alcohol compare to the 2nd amendment which is tied to protection from government tyrants. 2nd amendment covers protection of my or my family's LIFE,,and it makes sure the government doesnt infringe on my liberty without action.
@BrainUndead807 жыл бұрын
You never responded to the fact that unless you're going to similarly call for alcohol prohibition you have NO ARGUMENT. I'm not being angry with caps, I'm trying to emphasize the point. You cannot argue that marijuana is somehow dangerous or harmful without admitting that alcohol is more dangerous and demonstrably more harmful by many, many degrees. Therefore you cannot argue that marijuana should be restricted or even chastised without arguing that alcohol should be at least as restricted and chastised as marijuana. People argue that guns are harmful and should be restricted, even banned. Guns are obviously more harmful than marijuana. Weed and alcohol compare with the inalienable right to own weapons because there is no argument to be made to ban them or even restrict them from the people because they *might* hurt someone. That is infringing on people's right to privacy, to free trade/enterprise, to liberty and freedom. I'm sick and tired of this collectivism argument that because something *might* be harmful we should use the force of government to restrict or ban it outright. This is the thinking that leads to Germany banning the combustion engine because climate change. It's insane, and should be ignored.

I see in the comments a lot of people crying that he was a cowardly draft dodger. He's definitely not a coward. In fact, he has a lot of guts to go against the grain by saying no to the war mongering elite who get rich off of wars that America shouldn't be involved in. I respect our Vietnam nam veterans (I'm a veteran myself) but Ted refused to be a part of the military industrial complex that sends honorable men over seas to fight and die so that the elite can even richer. Good for him. He has brass.

Hetfield might be to the right of his bandmates. He moved to Colorado because of California's ultra left-wing stance on guns.

WTF does weed has to do with anything? Steve and absolutely kills me with this holier-than-thou mentality when it comes to people that smoke weed. Yet he will sit on his show and pound beers like no tomorrow as if alcohol is not life a ruining drug. The fact that he makes fun of cannabis being a treatment for cancer and other ailments lets me know that he has yet to do any research on the subject. I don't even smoke anymore, I just can't stand people that act like they are above anyone that does and refuse to recognize the benefits it has to suffering people's lives. I am a conservative African American veteran who genuinely enjoys watching Stevens show, but bullshit is bullshit.

Gary Davis: There is also ample evidence to support the theory that it reverses and stops/blocks mental disorders like dementia, Alzheimer's and schizophrenia. The agencies responsible for most of the 'negative' cannabis studies are funded by oh guess who BigPharma and BigTobacco.

I don't want my pilot smoking pot, but I want my musicians to. Drugs are responsible for most of the music you love. No, really. I'm not saying one ought to use drugs, I'm just saying how it is. Maybe it's why Nugent is a mediocre player. I would prefer that people don't do drugs, but if that means a world of bland and straight laced music, well, best you pass the dutchie thanks.
