Oh my god he has a Citizen Skyhawk Blue Angels edition. My parents gifted me one for my 16th birthday. It was also my first nice watch. It died sitting in my closet. After 16 years I got it refurbished by Citizen and I fell back in love with it and watches in general. I wore it seeing the Blue Angels for the first time. Something I'd always wanted to do as a kid. I have a deep connection with this one.

How does a pilots watch actually help a pilot? Is legibility the only thing bc of vibration?
@peekay423 сағат бұрын
If it has a GMT function that also helps -- especially for those flying internationally -- since time (in pilot weather reports, ATC instructions, etc.) are typically expressed in GMT / UTC (aka "Zulu"-time). E.g., even in the US if you're flying say from New York to Denver and pull up Denver's weather report, all the forecasts will be in GMT.

Part of my response was edited out but the quick set hour hand and date function is a major plus when I cross back and forth over the international dateline

Casio G Shock all day long for flying. Pulling 'G's" in an airplane is no place for a mechanical watch. It means "Gravity Shock". Also, the cockpit of an aerobatic airplane is a hostile place for a luxury watch. You constantly bang it on everything since your space is so tight. I've made that mistake. I only wear my G Shocks when I fly (not including riding in airline jets as a passenger).
