The fact that Oikawa (a high school student) noticed and said the same thing as someone so experienced as old coach Ukai did (that even young coach Ukai, Suga and Kags ofc didn't realize) is really impressive and shows how good, perceptive and analytical he is and how much he knows about volleyball

Your efforts are very much appreciated. Its good to have people understand the sport, which makes later episodes more enjoyable. I am just writing this out in case it helps... For any good jump approach run is important. Especially to get a good height for spiking. So in 3rd tempo the spiker starts running after the setter has set the ball. 2nd tempo the spiker starts running at the same time the ball is set. 1st tempo the fastest.. The spiker starts running even before the setter sets the ball. This just shows the spiker is the 1 controlling the pace of the attack. In the freak quick as well hinata was jumping and kageyama was setting the ball after hinata has completed his approach run and jumped. So it is kind of the fastest version. They were doing this without realising what they were doing. Since it even faster than the regular first tempo in which the approach run starts before the set is made. In this case the hinata has already jumped before the set is made. This is not even strictly a first tempo attack which will be explained later again. For the toss, the coach is asking him to kill the forward momentum of the ball at the peak point of the spiker. So that would give a fraction of a second to hinata to aim his spike.

7:06 Idk if you still have problems to understand this, but just in case (someone correct me if i'm wrong): In the first try, Ukai's toss was first, and after that, the others players started to run to hit the ball. In the second try, Ukai's toss was almost at the same time the players started to run to hit the ball. In the third try, Ukai's toss was after the players started to run to hit the ball. So, the difference in each time, was the moment the other players started to approach to hit the ball: "before", "at the same time" and "after" the toss is made. 10:04 The thing with Kageyama is, he is tossing straight to Hinata so he can hit the ball. But if you do that, Hinata doesn't have the time and the correct position to decide what to do on mid-air. That's why Kageyama needs to, instead of giving an straight toss, learn to do a toss that can "curve" , exactly as you noticed on 10:20, because if the ball curves, it will literally stop at some point in the air when it reaches the highest point of the curve (that's the similar principle in Maths of what we called "the vertex of a quadratic function"). In that way and in that moment of the toss, Hinata (as Ukai and Oikawa said) has the lead to decide how to fight in mid-air... a really big difference to Kageyama's previous tosses. Nice reaction as always~ Greetings from Chile.

I am so glad that oikawa smack those facts onto kageyama so that he cans top thinking hinata can only spike what he tosses
@korosu962 жыл бұрын
the tempo they were talking about is like this : 3rd tempo - start running after the toss 2nd tempo - start running while tossing 1st tempo - start running before the toss

This is one of those episodes that makes haikyuu the best sports anime Ever !! This is how you present the technical aspects of a sport in a show .. it made volleyball so cool in my eyes and it made all my anxiety of loopholes in plots disappear .. I knew there was going to be none in this show.

Actually, I'm not an anime fan. (I think it's called Otaku, isn't it? 🤔) As a Brazilian, I grew up watching passionately volleyball. (But I suck at playing it, sorry 😅) So I started watching haikyuu only because I love volleyball. I feel bad, but the only reason I didn't subscribe is because I thought it wouldn't be fair to stick around just for haikyuu and leave. I usually watch players reacting to it, but your reactions give me life. So at least I always like the video so your channel is recommended to more people. 😊 OH and I started being interested in Bulgaria after I met you and heard you're from there. Hahah 🤭 Nice places are made of nice people, right?

Hey, I know why you have to do it, but can you please make the episode a little less translucent so it is visible more easily? It’s been hard to follow at times. If not, at least try and put it’s background as something plain so it is more visible. Thanks! I love your reactions, because it feels like you’re enjoying the show too and not just giving fake over the top reactions.

Hi! I actually can'ttt. I've tried doing it brighter but I get claimed immediately. And the plant in the back is what saves me from copyright issues too hahah if I didn't have it I would have problems. Essentially I need to have an uneven background so I don't get claimed. I could play around with making it opaque but like a puzzle and mess around with the overall imagine but I don't have the time to do that since I edit alone. My suggestion is watching on a computer I see it better that way. Phone definitely doesn't work. Sorryy
