I love when You push the old cars almost to redline! The sounds are sooo good! Many people drive their classics (which are 100% restored) not exceeding 2k rpm, or so... Where is the fun I ask? If the engine is better than new, and the temperature is operational, let it breathe, give it some beans! ;) Thank You for the quality content!
@JohnUnit15 күн бұрын
these cars need it, too. The origin of the "italian tuneup" is that guys would baby their high-strung Italian sports cars until the plugs fouled, gunk built up on the valves, etc. Then they'd take it to a shop, and it wouldn't really need any repairs, just to be wound out to redline and get good and hot to clear everything out. One hoon across town and back by a mechanic willing to rip it, and magically the car would run great.

I love to see the evolution of the Ferrari designs over the years. This is a real lynch pin between the classic models of a 60s and early 70s and that of the 80s.

As a matter of fact, one doesn’t hear an awful lot about these stunning 365 GTC / 4 and one doesn’t come across them that much either. Great of you to have been able to get hold of one for this molto simpatico driving impressions ! This model is obviously a grand tourer, as the gearbox suggests with its fairly long ratios. And the 4.4 litre Colombo V12 with its army of Weber carburetors is a piece of sculpture in itself. As for the sound and the way it changes in harmony with the RPMs, just like your blast in the Dino V6, one just prays for it never to end. I was very lucky to be able to go for a spin in this car’s wilder brother, the 365 GTB Daytona, so I know exactly how you feel. Thanks for sharing this ride with us. But whatever you do, don’t turn your back on 911ses 😅👌

23 degrees or not, I'd have those windows down and find every tunnel in a 30 miles radius! The subtle whine of the transmission, the burbles on riding a down shift, we've removed the emotional pieces of cars and the tactile feel of driving and I think we've done ourselves a huge disservice. You can tell by your actual exuberance (the only word that fits!) driving this that there's reminders of what could be better, not what's lost.
