I’m rather partial to TED talks because they don’t have advertising… I’m one of those people that takes great insult by advertising. Which is funny since I used to be impressed by fun ads and even considered what an interesting field it might be to work in. But in these days of runaway consumerism and no holds barred political marketing I’ve become bitter to all advertising as an insult against intelligence and the very core of our souls. The history of Edvard Bernays has never been accounted for ethically within or outside of the field. It’s a Frankenstein monster in so many ways, along with many others of the monsters in our midsts. There is a price to pay, fast becoming due.
