Sheriff Chris Swanson has the enthusiasm and the HEART to unite people. We've met him on a few occasions, and his energy lights up a room. I believe he can make a significant difference in his community, I think he's an outstanding leader, and no matter the occasion, he's never too busy to stop and say, "hi, how are ya", and then listen. We in Genesee county are Blessed to have him!!

My one friend is a deputy sheriff and he loves this officer. He’s shared his viral video as he’s proud of him. My friend has had many different types of training before he applied to be a sheriff. Most were voluntarily while a very few mandated for a class he took in college.
