I am so glad to hear this is being explored. AI has serious potential to improve the economy as well. Unfortunately I don't think that's likely to be put into practice due to the embedded ties of greed with our current economy.

I hope that the guest's research is indeed more rigorous and professional that the presentation he offered. Urban life and urban history are much more complicate and complex than presented in his speech. Does the team that work on the subject include professional urban designers and urban planners? Does it include experts in urban engineering? Half the presentation is about Dr. Aliaga's personality, really is this important?

This is what happens when a computer scientist starts dabbling in city planning. It is not about futuristic looking buildings and streets. Cities are much more complex and nuanced than that. As an urban planner I reject this novice approach.
