💯 Absolutely true. It makes it difficult to show your vulnerability. when you're passionate about something you're labeled as aggressive. Where as other people who are passionate about something in the exact same way are not labeled as being aggressive, it's simply passionate.

I was emotional hearing this. I have worked very hard for a long time. Since I was 19 yrs old. I graduated college. Worked dead-end jobs, just to end up back in school. I had a daughter at 19 and 27. Each time I was in school. So where was my me time? I finally am in the end of my program and have excelled. I’ll be 30 this year. Why am I not happy? This year I’ve been so depressed not understanding why. I have so much to be happy for. This video gave me much clarity. I just need to understand me more and that I am only human and Its time to take time for me. I’ve worked hard all of my 20s and never once stopped to see if I was ok. Thanks for this video.

Wow, seeing you up there speaking your truth with such poise and elegance really touched me! Seeing someone who look like me and is younger than me commit to this self love journey is so inspiring. I found you one day as I was looking for an apartment and there was a post of you sharing your Brooklyn loft! I read the entire article and then somehow I was led to your self love organization page. I quickly signed up to be added to the list. I knew that I wanted to be a part of a group of women like me who were working on healing! I started therapy a few days later and started my own journey of healing! It’s not easy but I keep pushing and taking my time day after day. I want you to be encouraged and know that you are doing a damn good job! You are touching lives by simply living in your truth! I can’t wait for your retreat in August! Wishing you nothing but the best!

Anxiety said and spoken this way was informative. It's helped me to understand where my journey is going. I began my Mental Health Journey first and the self love is becoming more prevalent as I continue to this walk. It took a severe panic/anxiety attack to occur first, but how strange; that breakdown was what I WANTED!!!!! Admittance is the opening to balancing self love and anxiety. I solely believe that the generational curses are something breakable. We have to realize our power as women and embrace as well as give that to one another. We are the world go round, without US in the details nothing moves, so yes find a therapist, be willing to open your deepest and darkest moments and NEVER regret what was done. Own it and begin to allow those things to help you to be strong and transparent. We said.....

That was a beautiful Ted talk. Well spoken and very relatable. It’s a beautiful journey. We so often give our love to others but when we begin to give that love to ourselves, we unlock a new level! Masking it just covers it up. We have to be healed from the inside out! Yes I am going to church and therapy at the same damn time! Working on the core and the spiritual self. Listened to this on my way to the gym. Now I’m ready to go in and work on the external. All love.
