Teemu came out of the ABQ show last night looking like the best lead player in Megadeth's history lmfao almost 100% note for note, didn't improvise bad solos like Drover, didn't suck the soul out of the guitar like Broderick, even threw just a little extra sauce onto the Tornado solo. Extremely impressive

This is a seriously invaluable interview. I feel like I just got my first guitar lesson. Though, it's probably not the best place to start, lol. If I get the chance to buy a guitar in the future I'll definitely be back here to rewatch this over and over. I'd love to take a lesson from Teemu at some point, but that probably won't be for a long while.

A teacher is incredibly valuable for a starting guitarist. I started two years ago and for the first 7-8 months I only learned from KZbin/the internet. Then I got lessons and learned more in a month than in the 7-8 months playing by myself. Definetly get a teacher as soon as you can, preferably someone you can see face to face. It makes progress so much more painless and quick. Also, if you take lesson you won't end up developing bad habits that you would later have to unlearn to make progress.

He only has one lesson that is purchaseable. You can find it in Troy Grady's website. Otherwise, Teemu offers 1 on 1 Skype lessons and you can message him on facebook or instagram or email him for more info. If you are on the fence then absolutely do it. Buy the Kemper and just stick with that! Then you can have whatever amp or sounds you want. Profile your AXE FX 1. Great playing and great video!
@Epicionx6 жыл бұрын
I'm a potential new buyer for Kemper or the Axe fx. I've been reading that Kemper lacks grit when it comes to distortion. Have you found that to be the case or have you ever done a side by side comparison?
@tysonhatch6 жыл бұрын
@@Epicionx: That's not the case at all. I own a Kemper and I will say it is unequivocally the best gear I've ever bought. Plenty of high gain options right out of the box, without downloading any profiles. You'll find if you search videos where you can listen to blind tests, some of the greatest ears in the guitar universe cannot discern the difference between the Kemper and the real amp. Think of profiles as a snapshot of an amp. They're not emulating it. The noise it emits is the exact sound quality of the profiler's skill. Listen to some of Michael Britt, or Top Jimi's profiles.
@Epicionx6 жыл бұрын
@@tysonhatch sorry let me rephrase that. I'm aware that Kemper does not allow for USB recording but wanting to record at home. What kind of external audio interface would you reccommend to use with the Kemper? and should I get a powered one/what difference is there with a powered/unpowered one?
@tysonhatch6 жыл бұрын
@@Epicionx: I don't have much advice with recording because I have never tried to record, period. I just play. Sorry. Check the Kemper forums! As far as your other other question: I bought the powerhead. I did so because it is more convenient for me. I can plug into anyone's cab or speakers, etc... I bought a Mission engineering Gemini 2P which is an FRFR speaker cab. Sounds phenomenal! If you buy the non-powered head, you'll have to buy an active speaker of course. If you already have gear like that, then go non-powered. It's really a matter of the gear you have and your preference!

@turboromy6 жыл бұрын
Really??? Not trying to argue with your view, but I always thought Paul Gilbert was overrated... even though I really liked how he aged.
@WintersunExtras6 жыл бұрын
What I mean is I can hear similarities in their attack and the sound of fastly played sections reminds me of Paul Gilbert's style. I'd disagree that he's overrated, if anything I think he's underrated! But that's just subjective.
@turboromy6 жыл бұрын
@@WintersunExtras I'm sure you hear in much more details than I do. I'm fan of your stuff. Thanks for the info. The way I felt was when Yngwie came out, many suddenly copied his style and Paul didn't really hit me. Probably it's personal taste thing. Jason Becker was one that I felt way beyond exceptional. Tony, Vinnie were good... just good, and Paul to me sounded more like wanna be kids back then.
