@@xepit04ytI'm sorry, I just don't agree. It is too easy to write off the people who harm us as "evil" and "hateful" etc. But the truth, I believe, is much more mundane. All animals are self-motivated. We are infused with a web of nerves throughout our whole bodies, that send us pleasure/pain signals. We are literally made to act in our selfish interests. Some, however, are more selfish than others. And some are more brutal in what they are prepared to do, to feed their selfish desires. When cornered, you never know how a man will react. Fight/flight triggers kick in...and options you would never have dreamt of, start to present themselves. Facing imminent withdrawals, and possibly life from a third strike....coupled with the hyped up & warped perspective from being on drugs .. and finally, the serendipity of still having the gun on him... I think a perfect storm brewed up. I think he asked the man about whether he had kids or not, in a last effort to either talk himself out of it ..or, had he said "No", then, perhaps to justify it. But by then...he was never going to be able to talk himself out of it and throw away his one open shot at freedom... Incredibly selfish. And quite brutal. Rash, stupid, even.... but not "evil". "Evil" means that they do heinous acts onto people, merely for the pleasure of doing it. Listen, I'm not defending him. I actually think he deserved the DP. I just think that writing people off as "evil" is not only inaccurate, but also that it denies the true horror of what actually happened.

He retrieved the shank, locked the guy in the room, went in where the officer was that claimed he properly searched him, and claimed the detained was clean of any weapons. He asked the officer "So you properly searched so and so?", and they claimed "Yep". My friend slammed the shank on the table and yelled "What is this, then???"....This is just a true story for every officer that might be reading this, and have watched this horrible video. Please do not put your trust in another officer in a detainment situation where you and a suspect are alone with each other. It's not that your fellow officers are intentionally trying to throw you right under the bus, but they are human, and all it takes is one time where a fellow officer isn't quite on their game that you put your trust in, and the result could very well be what is shown in this video. I randomly came across this video and I had no idea this is what actually happened. Also, just wanted to point out that this kid was extremely privileged, drives a BMW and also lived in the most expensive dorms on campus (I can tell by the hallways). We had several memorials on campus and at the football game. Rest in peace. 💙

When i was 16, i was on probabation and i was really addicted to drugs. I had failed multiple test, and my probabation officer told me i would get locked up for a bit. Me and my mom walked over to the police station across the street from the courthouse. We were waiting for someone to turn myself in. I went to the bathroom and i cried becasue of how badly i didnt want tot go back. I had served 3 months already for the initial charge that put me on probabtion, and it was the worst experience of my life. Going back scared me more than anything in the world. So i convinced my po to let my mom take me to the store so i could get a shave, and stop by a fast food place to get a final meal before i go. This was all just a ploy though. I walked into the front of a Mcdonalds and out the back, and kept walking. I had plans to leave the state and start a new life, but obviously the whole idea was illogical. But i was terrified of being locked up, and would do anything to stay free. I can understand what was going through this guys head. The fear of losing your freedom consumes you, and makes you act irrationally. The worst part of being locked up is not the cell, not the food, or anything like that. Its not even the time you lose. Its the complete loss of freedom and choice. Its having to ask permission to use the bathroom or get a drink of water. Youre not a person anymore, you are an animal in a zoo. Its a very claustrophobic feeling, being trapped. Humans will do anything to escape captivity.

@csmith4112 ай бұрын
@@corn741 an anti anxiety medication, but when you’re on it you basically don’t give a Fuck about anything. It’s easy to not freak out no matter how bad the scenario is, you can still be completely relaxed. Kinda crazy idek how else to describe it. But that’s why he’s so calm most likely.

@Modelmagus2 ай бұрын
@@xinpingdonohoe3978 Xanax (alprazolam) is a benzodiazepine, a type of medication commonly used to treat anxiety and panic disorders by calming the brain and nervous system. While it can reduce anxiety, it can also impair judgment, memory, and coordination. It's important to note that relying on Xanax for that "carefree" feeling can be dangerous, as it can lead to dependence and other serious side effects. If you already feel indifferent or disconnected, using Xanax might actually worsen these feelings or mask underlying issues. Always consult a healthcare professional before considering such medications.

Its pretty annoying how hes treating his charges as an inconvenience to his life and future plans, rather than the consequences of his actions. He was acting suspicious from the moment he got out of the car during that inital stop. Proper due-diligence would have avoided this.

@wetsaw2940 that kind of depends on your belief system. My belief on this is if he were to *truly* have a change of heart and follow jesus, then even this atrocity could be forgiven, allowing him into heaven. Because based off of what I know of the bible, after salvation it doesn’t matter if you sin again. that would defeat the point of salvation because we are guaranteed to sin again even after salvation. TLDR: My point is basically (from my belief and what i know of the bible) whether you go to heaven or hell is determined by whether you truly believe in god or not; it’s not determined by what you do

@SediqueLawson15 күн бұрын
@@dmhendricksgetting shown privilege is indeed NOT done far more in ANY race other than the one you see here. Now, with that being said. The comment was not “dragging race into this” it was clear those officers chose NOT to search his vehicle. In the case of someone reporting that you “stole their gun” as well as threatening them with it… They should have taken the correct precautions and did whatever was necessary to get the vehicle searched. They literally let him leave after him saying no to having a gun and also no to a search to prove his innocence in the case that someone lied on you…. They believed him and let him leave! I have never seen any other race in the world be able to leave after an accusation like that! So it has absolutely NOTHING to do with race. It has everything to do with what WE ALL saw in this video.
