With access to more and more dangerous stuff. Technology constantly changes, as do people and crime. It's time for justice to evolve and change as well. Sometimes judges aren't the problem. I agree whole heartedly. The family should file suit, especially with the court. This never should’ve happened. That young man has been getting away with his behavior for way too long. He should’ve been in jail a long time ago. Why won’t the courts hold these young people accountable for their crimes, how many times does it take for the courts to realize there is no hope for that young man lock him up and throw away the key. He had plenty chances to change his life. He chose not to he must pay the consequences. His parents should be ashamed of themselves for not putting a stop to his behavior along time ago.

Once people get away with something then they just do it over and over again, and often escalate it. tired of the myth that if your caught with weed you just get jailed. you have to be caught with the amount thought to be meant to be distributed or sold to people.

For the counselor, it's one thing to pay like, a couple hundred to bail out a youth with the determination to get them on the right track and help them, but 50K?! AND THAT KID HAD A WILD AMOUNT OF DRUGS ON HIM? And panics when his name is posted to the public? Something is up. He needs to be investigated. That's suspicious as hell.

Misogyny aside, I disagree completely. What is critical is the HOW a child is raised as opposed to the SEX of the parent. I assume that you use violence, spare the rod spoil the child, blah blah baloney. I raised an honest, upstanding man, and excellent Dad. Violence was unnecessary and counterproductive. My son has done very well for himself and now in my dotage, he takes wonderful care of me. He doesn’t visit violence on his kids either. Both are college bound. AMF, all six of my grandkids are in college or college bound.I suggest you read up on child development so your children don’t spend their adulthood in therapy bc of their rotten upbringing.
