The 225 and 315 lb reps were just as impressive to me as the stupid heavy weights. The speed in which he completed those lifts were absolutely crazy, I really doubt I can press the bar itself that fast. I would say that is a perfect example of the explosiveness!!!!!

I hit 325 at 160lb when I was 16 years old. 225 for 16 reps as a fresh sophomore in highschool then I tore all my shit both rotators doing it naturally is a guaranteed injury. Lift for life style aesthetics and over all health and well being. If you chase numbers you will get hurt there is no way around it. I still hold the record in my highschool for pound for pound greatest after 12 years but was it worth it absolutely not.

I remember when Larry was in his early 20s and was expected to smash records soon only for injuries and other factors to hinder his strength. Likewise with Cailer Woolam. I think getting too strong too fast are what set them back.

Close packed position of the carpal bones has some wrist extension. He doesn’t have to have a neutral wrist. But if he’s further extended, he probably has strong wrist flexors to keep his wrist from over extending

I’ve been having this same exact problem with my wrists from bench with suicide grip but I feel more comfortable with it tho than with a closed grip on it. I feel I should go back to closed grip and just work with it again (even tho I had the same issue with the wrists for this grip as well) and practice keeping my wrists as straight as possible.
