I remember when I was 14 I had a friend that became homeless because her mother found a boyfriend and he said he didnt want kids living in the house. Right before we started our 9th grade year she kicked out her, her 19 yo sister, and her 11 year old brother. Her and her brother went to live with her sister who moved into her much older boyfriend house. Once her sister got pregnant and the money became tight the boyfriend was pressing for her to leave. My friend ended up couch surfing before our best friend mother took her in. Needless to say her and her brother really struggled emotionally for years after that. Her mother was pathetic and all for a man. Thinking back on it someone should called cps especially since she was only 14 and her brother was only 11 but I think everyone was scared of them being separated.
