Shawn, you're an awesome Dad. Introducing your daughter, Zoe, to new music is a great thing to do, and it's what my wife and I did with our kids, too. My wife and I raised 6 children between the two of us. They're all adults, now, and range from ages 18 to 41. Anyhoo, I was born in 1962, and my wife was born in 1972, so our musical tastes were somewhat different from one another. Which was cool for our kids because it exposed them to a wider variety of music. My wife was more into metal and grunge, and I was into everything else. I listen to all genres of music, simply because I think that all music has something to offer, if people are willing to listen. And that's exactly what y'all are doing. Kudos. ❤

Shawn and Zoey just. FYI, Led Zeppelin is the name the Jimmy Page gave the band after Keith Moon of The Who expressed doubts about whether the band would ever be successful. He made the remark that they "will go over like lead balloon". Meaning he thought they would never get off the ground as a band. Jimmy Page had been originally using the name "The New Yardbirds" for his new band but ran into legal troubles with a former member of the Yardbirds about using the name. So he fell back on Keith Moon's comment and renamed the new band, "Lead Zeppelin" He was then advised that Americans would most likely mispronounce the word Lead as "Leed" so he shortened the spelling to "Led". Ending up with Led Zeppelin.

They wrote this song about their 1970 concert and trip home from Iceland ("come from the land of ice and snow"). They wrote it using the Viking imagery you spoke of. The actually thought it was humorous, but a lot of their fans took it as a song literally about actual Viking history and missing the metaphor completely. I was stationed at a small Naval Facility tracking submarines in the North Atlantic when that concert took place, though we lived on the main NATO base. I was also one of about 10 duty drivers who would have the duty of bringing the crew from the base back and forth from the base for work and lunch. Normally it was very easy to trade days with someone if I wanted to go into town for any reason, a concert, a movie, shopping or hanging out with Icelandic friends or whatever. Well, I wanted badly to go to the Zeppelin concert, but every single person I tried to trade days with refused me because they were going to the concert. And to make matters worse, I had to listen to their stories about the huge after party Led Zeppelin held for all the fans! Oh well, as the Vikings used to say, _Such is the way of the world!_ 🤥

If I understand correctly the difference between a blimp and a zeppelin is simple. The blimp is a gas bag that holds its shape by the pressure of the gas inside, while the zeppelin has a rigid frame inside to hold its shape. They are both considered airships.

This song is about the raids of Viking bezerkers. Their homeland is very cold and little food is grown there. So they would travel and raid other villages. Since Thor is a Viking Demi God, it was only fitting that it was in the movie, "Thor: Love And Thunder". It was also used in the movie, "School Of Rock", starring Jack Black. You should listen to the most beautiful song in the Led Zeppelin catalog, "Rain Song". And be sure you check out their most legendary song, "Stairway To Heaven". ✌️
