Hi Rabbi Kass. I just got my new Tefillin. The cover constantly falls off. So after searching I saw your video. Well, now I put felt and it worked great. I also now I know what size Tefillin I have. Thank you

Thank you for all your amazing content, could you make a video showing how to properly put away Tafillin in the bag and the best way to store them?

Thank you Rabbi, I had no idea the little plastic cover was an actual Halacha.

What words are written in the outside Teffilin cover box, arm and head ?

Thank you for your videos. My tefillin came with protective covers for both the Shel Yad and the Shel Rosh. Is there also a practice to keep the Shel Rosh covered, even when davening?

That is interesting. I'd be interested to see what that looks like. In fact there is specific reason for the Shel Rosh not to be covered.

@@TheSoferCenter Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I have read that the Shel Rosh should not be covered. I checked the type of plastic cover that is on the Shel Rosh. It's the same type that is on the Shel Yad, with the cut-out for the knot. What's also interesting is that I have had the tefillin checked within the past year by a sofer in Israel, and when I received the tefillin back, the cover was not on the Shel Rosh but loose within the outer protective bag. One change that I did notice to the Shel Yad was that a piece of sinew was tied in such a way as to keep the knot in constant contact with the bayis. Thanks again for your videos.
