It's like that but less buggy(at least from the beta experience) There's a section for regular matches, you can queue up for rank matches at the arcade, and there's a section where you can queue up for tekken ball

The "Modern/Classic" control thing in fighting games is such a cop out. What's worse is it just means intermediate players can get smoked by beginners. Modern style should be a completely seperate mode on all fighting games.

honestly its hardly an issue in this game compared to street fighter, its mainly just for total beginners any intermediate wouldnt struggle against someone with special style

This is a better implementation of auto-assist because both players have access to special style controls. The playing field is still equal. In SF6, Modern controls scheme is so broken especially in the lower ranks. I feel bad for the newbs who enjoy using classic controls. They are getting washed by cheap MC enjoyers.

The only fix in a game where it gives you an advantage is to simply make people using modern fight modern. Or at least give an option to block MC users. They should get a penalty to XP and rewards aswell even in single player.

that heat system and 2D style gameplay, endless long combos and too much juggles really ruined the Tekken. this is not Tekken anymore this is Tekken Ball hahah :D no longer a fighter, it became a bouncing simulator, and people defend this? hahah, shame :D

This is not Tekken, this is just some bouncing simulator trying to be like 2D fighters hahah :D I miss when Tekken was unique and simple, not trying to imitate others but just being a decent game of its own. now its a shame :D

guns became part of movesets, ridiculously overused juggles and endless combos, disturbing flashy effects, roster is already full of dolls and bears.. and people like Tekken 8 hahah, probably lil babies who first played T7 and never played the classics :D cause they were not around in these games' primes. hahah what a joke Tekken has become, its sad :D

At least they had creativity, unique athmoshphere, lore, good story, awesome characters :). They didnt have unoriginal forgettable new characters, mix-up movesets, terribly lazy story, 2D fighter copy-paste gameplay with heat system and juggles like bouncing simulator hahah :D

My biggest complaint are the guns aspect. Tekken really started to change after 5... it also was no longer a Playstation exclusive after that. Hope they leave the 2D fighters out this time... never thought I would be dodging hadokens in Tekken 😆
