Bind your RT to 1+2 and your LT to 3+4. I struggle with learning combos as well but this helps a lot. Still do your neutral game with jabs and lows but you'll be able to throw some heavy punishers in there with stuff like Right - RT or half circle - LT. I play with Victor and that makes stringing moves together for (beginner combos) but it helps you learn their moves for combos. Also play vs or an offline game mode where you can put the difficulty to ultra hard. Now that you've got the fundamentals ultra hard is good sparring for training to learn your moves and combos in a combat setting without losing rank. Or just set the training dummy to CPU and ultra difficulty to play around. Anyway from one Tekken newbie to another good luck my friend 👍🏼

Man, what an arc this is. Love it. Also, Ki charge is 1+2+3+4. You might be rolling your thumb across all the buttons or pressing a bunch of presets you might have at the same time. You're also probably holding the controller wrong XD I mean, it's obviously working for you, but you might wanna give what's called "crab claw" a shot. It's where your index and middle fingers are above the face buttons and you use them to hit said buttons. I've been playing like that for as long as I can remember and Lil Majin also plays like that. Really helps in this game. I'm playin btw, you can obviously do whatever is workin for you. There really isn't a "right way" or "right controller" to play Tekken.
