They’d have died for sure. And not just because they weren’t strong enough either. Fighting actual battles is another way to get much stronger. Especially over 2 years. Just look at Luffy’s progression from the very beginning of One Piece all the way up to the time skip. The problem is that Luffy is too stupid to know what battles to avoid while he’s getting strong. He was too dumb to realize the consequences of messing with Celestial Dragons and his crew got bodied for it. He was too dumb to understand how strong Yonkou are and he just finished getting bodied and thrown in jail for it. The other Supernovas who went right into the New World had enough sense to navigate around those new threats according to their ability (except maybe Kidd, but he lost an arm on the way and he’s beat up and in jail too). Luffy only knows how to go “through” and unfortunately his strength doesn’t quite match his temperament or bravado.

Maybe crocodiles secret is that Ivankov used one of his hormones to remove his Haki. That’s why he couldn’t use haki against luffy when they fought. He also set up shop too close to the beginning of the grand line even for a warlord. It also explains why he doesn’t want anyone to know, if people knew he couldn’t use haki then he would be in a crapload of trouble, especially in the new world.

Simple answer: Oda would have created a buffer antagonist before fighting with the Yonkous themselves. These buffer antagonist could have continued to be Warlords, maybe Younkou commanders or lesser ranks (similarly to what happened to other Supeenovas), or notable New World Pirates/Marines.

I think a likely scenario (because of plot armor) is that they catch an ass whopping from someone, and then stumble upon Shanks. Shanks beats it into their heads that they can't challenge a Yonkou yet, and then he has the Straw Hats work under him until they get stronger. I think I'd like to see that.

Just something to consider, but Jimbei still felt indebted to Luffy before the timeskip, and Fishman Island would not have been allied yet in all likelihood with Big Mom, so Jimbei might have joined the crew and gone with them straight from Fishman Island in this scenario, and he could start instructing the crew on haki, or at least make their travels through the New World easier. Until they ran into Kaido.

I think most of them wouldn't have grown a lot more. Luffy was the strongest on the island, so he didn't have anyone to train with anymore. Same with Usopp. For Chopper, Franky and Nami, I don't know how much more they could learn where they were, but probably not enough to justify 3 more years. Sanji had beaten all 99 newkama masters and got their recipes. Only Brook, Zoro and Robin could keep growing with what they were doing.

13:01 I’m pretty sure that 3d2y took place 1 and a half years into Luffy’s training instead of six months because Rayleigh (probably butchered his name) left Luffy to train on his own for 6 months right after the whole Burn D. World thing. He could only get his armament haki to work every once in a while during his fights with BDW. It goes to show how difficult it was to get to the level of haki Luffy was at after the time skip and Luffy probably wouldn’t even learn anything if he only had a couple weeks

But once they hit the new world, im sure a few of the straw hats could possibly die. Luffy prob still be alive but things would be very different. Prob the islands we know now wouldnt be the ones we see. Theyd prob avoid kaido and big mom for a long time after that. At least til sanji gets tracked down. One solution for them to not get annihilated is to actually be that lucky and run into Shanks, and have him (and his crew) teach the Straw Hats. Would also be a very nice introduction for Shanks Crew with Ussops father and everything. I think that would have been a nice mini arc I would have definitely enjoyed.

What if Luffy was a revolutionary? We've seen kids be trained at Baltigo so Dragon could have left Luffy with all the other kids instead of Garp taking Luffy to Goa Kingdom with Dadan. We would actually know a lot more of Koala and Luffy would still know Sabo since he still would have run away. We've seen the revolutionaries restock with Koushirou so Zoro may have become a revolutionary as well while keeping his swordsman dream.

No timeskip Fishman island arc could have had Vander Decken as the main/ sole antagonist, since irrc he was already throwing axes at her. They could even have Hordy present as a guard, distinctly hostile in his interactions but not going so far as to pick a fight, as an ominous background figure, providing the setup for a later arc where the Strawhats hear about a civil war in Fishman island, and return to find the island in the state it was in during the arc climax

Crocodile's real secret before the 2 year time skip: I think Crocodile was Gol Roger's son. At least one of two of them. Gol Roger was probably in his 30's when Ace was born. Roger and Dragon could possibly have a connection to each other since Dragon appeared at the execution. The Revolutionary Army took him for a very short time. Croc and Ace share similar physical traits. Also Crocodile was scared when Ivankov mentions he has a secret past which is why Croc begged Ivankov to keep quite so he won't be put into the same situation as Ace. At Marineford, Crocodile first saves Ace from dying the second time but couldn't the third time because he was tangling with Doffy. Then later he saves Luffy. Garp didn't know about Crocodile because his birth wasn't put into the same situation as Ace's. Lastly, Crocodile wants to keep a low profile from the World Government like he did in Alabasta and like he is doing right now in the One Piece story since the Marineford Arc which is why we hardly see him anymore. Also another thing with Roger is that he probably cared more for Ace because he realized that he messed up as a father with his first son by being a deadbeat. Now the Will of D still lives. Sir D. So here is a question, with Blackbeard, he had is logia fruit and took whitebeards peramicia fruit. Well, what if he took another logia type? How would that work? You should make a video on theories of what kind of things some devil fruits could do awakened. Like with Eneru's Gorro Gorro No Mi. If it does create a never ending thunderstorm, could Eneru use the lightning clouds to zap him (since he's a Lightning Man) and basically have infinite energy, or at least use stronger attacks? What would the Pika Pika No Mi do to the climate? And once Luffy gains awakening, since it most likely will change the area around him into rubber, he would call it Bounce House, and jump all over the place while his enemies try to keep balance.

I have so been thinking of starting a D&D campaign set in One Piece! It sounds so awesome and I would love to expand on everything that's been introduced in the story so far! Can you imagine being a player character who is a child of Big Mom and has run away to the West Blue to start a new life but gets sucked into a life of piracy anyway? That sounds dope! omg I actually just typed dope... The only reason I haven't done that yet is because it would require a lot of homebrew material and players who both know One Piece (or don't care about spoilers) and who I can trust to not try to make an OP devil fruit
