I think that Kuzan was justified in killing Saul; the giant was flipping battle ships around and Vice Admirals have Haki so it is likely that Kuzan could sense every single Marine that died, in fact that might have even been the ship he was in charge of. Consider the following; Saul was a D., he betrayed his allies, killed former allies and then worked against their goals, put like that he's kind of like Blackbeard, with Kuzan playing the role Ace... except that he was actually strong enough to kill the traitor. The fact that he gave Robin a chance at living could be because of her age or he could have been honouring the wishes of his former friend. At least that's my take on the situation, feel free to make arguments

I think the situation with O’Hara, being 20 years ago, was probably the 1st time he really committed an atrocity. I think since then he developed a sense of justice similar to Garps, meaning that atrocity just because it’s an order doesn’t need to be followed. Killing Saul and committing genocide on the island was probably too much for him and he couldn’t bring himself to kill and innocent crying child. Let's be fair here, he killed a giant but if Aokiji REALLY wanted to murder a child he would have just done it, you know? He gave her a free pass the first time they met and then when he ran into the group again, after she continued to cause trouble, he could have easily just shattered her ice body. Tekking101 technically, you're not incorrect in pronouncing Aka Inu. It is two words, put together. The "ai" isn't pronounced "I". "a" makes the ah sound and "i" makes the ee sound. When put together, it sounds like ah-ee, which sounds like a drawn out "I". it's a subtle sound, like how you English/Japanese teacher stated, with the words ending in "u".

The thing about kuzan I think he was burned out as an admiral. When he was younger he seems lively and with a ton of energy. But when he realized his job did not give him the power to actually do justice (because the world government is an oppressive fascist government )he adopted lazy justice to do the bare minimum of his job.

2020 update: I think Kuzan is a member of SWORD operating as a reconissance specialist... Odd encounters with wanted criminals that he doesn't bring in ( i.e. Robin), Suddenly leaving the marines and nobody but the gorosei seems to be batting an eye about it (not even Sakazuki), and randomly wandering around and aligning with the blackbeard pirates. I think he's gathering info for SWORD because the marines might know something BIG is coming and they need to be prepared.

In the Zou Arc, Dogstorm and Cat Viper warned Nico Robin that many pirates will track her down for her ability to read the poneglyphs. Let's clear up some things: 1) Blackbeard pirates and Straw Hat pirates are obviously going to clash at some point. 2) Shanks won't mess with Nico Robin, Big Mom might but I don't think she cares much, Kaido definitely will but won't get too far. I think Blackbeard is the true threat though. 3) Aokiji knows a lot about Robin and is now allied with Blackbeard. Will he spill the beans on Robin? Or did he just ally with him because he knew Blackbeard had plans to steal Robin from the Straw Hats? I think it's the latter because the only way to protect Robin is by keeping an eye on Blackbeard, and at the end of Enies Lobby he was pleased to hear that she found her place. 4) Nico Robin was with the Rev Army during the timeskip and I'm sure Oda did not do that in a random manner. I believe they will defend her and Luffy no matter what, especially if Blackbeard is the enemy after the raid on Baltigo. 5) Shanks and Blackbeard had their disputes before. 6) New Whitebeard pirates want to avenge Whitebeard and Ace, and also promised to protect Luffy no matter what. Conclusion: The all powerful Blackbeard pirates and their allies will have to track down Nico Robin because they're retarded. None of them can read the poneglyphs. Aokiji will sabotage their attempt by siding with the Straw Hats (along with Shanks, New Whitebeard, and Rev Army who all have unfinished business with Blackbeard. The scar, the death of Whitebeard, and the raid respectively). I believe that Aokiji will betray him because Oda forshadowed this when Jesus Burgess said "I don't trust him". I can see Blackbeard messing up that way and having a taste of betrayal just like he betrayed Whitebeard back in the day. That sounds very plausible to me, but what I am sure of is that AOKIJI WILL DEFINITELY HAVE A POSITIVE ROLE IN THE STRAW HAT'S JOURNEY. What do you think of this Tekking?

Talk about Senguku please - I think he is an extremely interesting character with his strong sense of honor, justice but also morals. He is one of the "oldschool" guys who almost openly revere the era of Roger, Whitebeard, Garp etc. - the era that made them legends. It's also extremely interesting how he acts ever since he retired from being fleet admiral - peacefully talking with Law about Rosenante, being more laid-back in general, but still making sure that Doflamingo gets properly imprisoned.

That way he can fight again, against Akainu somewhere around the end, and also be ofhelp to the staw-hats since he will want to help Dragons son. Especially since he seemst to see Luffy as someone important. I may be late to the discussion here but I think that it’s important to point out that aokiji is the chill chill human. Think of it as he is able to freeze things. Like an absolute zero freezing point. Rather than being “ice” as in frozen water, he is a person who can freeze any liquid by using the absolute zero freezing point.
