So Fujitora is first introduced as a gambler, betting on the roulette. He's basically a non-psychotic Harvey Dent. When he can't decide what he should do, he leaves it to chance. The main problem is, in Dressrossa his morals come into conflict with his duty, so he leaves it to chance a lot. He was sent there to capture Luffy and help Doflamingo, but right away in the bar he discovers that Luffy is a relatively nice individual, ready to defend a blind old man from being defrauded. As the arc progresses he comes to the conclusion that he wants to help Luffy instead, but that is directly against his orders, so he decides to do nothing. If Doflamingo wins, his marine duty is fulfilled. If Luffy wins, his moral desire is fulfilled. If all of Dressrossa is destroyed, it will serve as an example to the World Government, and he publicly proves his point about the corruption. Whatever fate decides, he comes out the winner. Same with capturing Luffy after the fight. He wants Luffy to be free but his duty tells him that he needs to be captured, so he lets chance decide. Gambling is his go to crutch for a moral conundrum. His actions are unperdictable and potential dangerous. Classifiction : Dicey Justice

True but he did do something on Dressrosa. I had to go back to catch it but he was the only marine officer besides Sengoku who actively did protect the citizens. Instead of ordering his soldiers to fight he deligated the duties by having the mass of his force protect and lead the citizens to safety as far from the battlefied as possible it's not like he could get them out fully at that moment so that was the next best option for the innocent civilians. He actually does a lot more follow through for his ideals than most of the military and has probably the best sense of true justice right there next to Sengoku. Looking back and understanding the situation he did everything in his power at that time to ensure the navy did what they were meant to do instead of more senseless fighting. But he does gamble more than he should to be a true idealistic officer.

Fujitora doesn't seem a confusing character to me. He's honourable and joined the Marines because he cares about the people and doing a good job. As he sees the corruption he realises he's in a position of power to change, or at least slow down, that corruption. When Luffy saves the island, he's genuinely grateful to them, so rather than coming after them and destroying them outright, he gives them time to recover from their wounds and have a reasonable chance to escape as thanks for their efforts. That's why he uses the dice. Have you ever heard of loaded dice? They're dice that are designed to come up with a particular side. I think Fujitora used his gravity power on the dice to influence which side landed upwards each time. That way he controlled when they'd go after the Pirates, since he knew in this instance it was the WG that had been in the wrong, not the Pirates. He only used his belief in faith as an excuse for the delay.

Maybe directly taking him on would have been too much but he could have perhaps contributed in a less visible way. It's just he keeps going on and on about how evil the warlords are and how wrong the world government is but he doesn't really do anything to contribute to Don Flamingo's downfall while he did plenty to help him during the fight with Law. Alkichi also fought against the Strawhats but he did have that moment of helping the citizens and he abstained from hurting Robin.

Why not do both? I mean a lot of people's lives were in danger and probably a lot of people died on Dressrosa. I think the urgency would demand Issho take action and then apologize afterward for letting it continue on for so long. Also, what Issho did was very dangerous, basically putting all his faith in Luffy. Had he lost even more people would die. Would Issho have taken action then?

remember what happened in alabasta tekking? because in the end smoker ended up the one "catching" crocodile the whole situation was handled as if crocodile was an exception not as what the warlords are really like. fujitora wanted to make sure people knew that the marines were the ones who fucked up so he bet on luffy because if people knew that the marines were present with their full force and yet they did nothing then that would be very shameful to the marines and make it look like they are aware and actually help the warlords in their fucked up actions. which would eventually force the marines to abolish the whole system just to prove to the people that they are in no way affiliated with the fucked up warlords even though they have been turning a blind eye behind closed doors

I get that now, it just seems like he doesn't care about all the people dying when he could have possibly stopped Doffy earlier. THEN he could have still apologized to Riku the same as he did in the manga for the Government failing to stop him sooner. This was high stakes stuff here and sometimes Issho just acts like he doesn't care about all the bloodshed

*Tekking101* Somebody else mentioned in another comment thread, that it was done on purpose. Fujitora held himself off because of what happened with Crocodile. Smoker got all the credit in the end and it was treated as another case of marine taking down a pirate, instead of a marine taking down a shichibukai. He's holding himself back to let the world know that the marine didn't do jack against the tyranny of a shichibukai, it was proven when he broadcasted the moment he apologized to King Riku, he wanted the world to know that the Shichibukai system is flawed and there are times where Marine couldn't do anything about it because they are affiliated.
@Obversechaos
@Obversechaos 7 жыл бұрын
Fujitora said that after they already allowed all of the things Doflamingo did to happen that they had no right to take him down and act like they were the heroes. He stated that he was betting on Luffy to take him down. I think that if Luffy failed, he would have taken down Doflamingo because he couldn't let those things keep happening, but he didn't want the Marines to get undeserved credit. He felt that would have been unjust.
@prinstyrio0
@prinstyrio0 7 жыл бұрын
Except he didn't just watch and let civilians die, he held the marines back to focus on saving the civilians, he made fairly specific commands for that, so he did try to keep them safe while betting on Luffy to take down Doflamingo to prove a big point on what a horrible system Warlords are and show how hypocritical the marines are with their "Absolute Justice" when they still ally themselves with the most corrupt and dangerous pirates while "good" pirates like Strawhats has to clean up that mess but are still considered by the marines as worse than the Warlords. So despite probably sacrificing some civilians, I think he was willing to take on that responsibility of innocent lives just to stop something like this from happening again, by not being so unbiased towards every pirate, get rid of the warlords system and actually go for the really dangerous pirates. Now whether this is the right way or not, that's what makes Fujitora interesting. He has his ways of viewing what's right, but it may not be right. For all the reasons the Warlords system is horrible and most Warlords are the worst of the bunch, the question is whether the marines can afford to have that many powerful enemies at once, which I doubt they can. There are way too many pirates, not to mention the Yonko's, who pose an equal or greater threat. The marines are powerful, but they can't be everywhere, and pirates are everywhere. So in that sense, Fujitora is kinda "blind" while also seeing the truth. The marines cannot afford, in my opinion, to be this fully good force because it would diminish their power and they'd have too many threats to deal with. Then again, one could argue that if the marines were less corrupt, they'd find pirate allies (like Strawhats) that won't cause trouble to the innocent people or atleast seek to protect them too and therefore still have a form of Warlord system but that's based on trust, respect and good deeds than power and manipulation.

Tekking101 I suggest you to watch all the Fujitora parts again cause you are misunderstanding a lot of what he did.Let me clear your confusion point by point. Firstly a shichibukai's license can only be revoked if he is aligned with someone else, If luffy became a subordinate of Law, Law is still not breaking any rules of WG. If reversed Law can be stripped of his title by an admiral or any high ranking marine(which Fujitora did). Also note that a Shibukai can do ANYTHING under the title. The WG cannot even question them. Even an Admiral cannot touch a shibukai until they violate any WG rules (Kizaru and Kuma during Sabaody).

I am pretty sure that half of that shit doffy did does not go with WG rules Fuijtora had the authority to revoke doffy's title like he did with law Instead he gambled on luffy(risky move) to show the world the situation with the warlords If Luffy lost , this whole gamble could have backfired and lot of lifes would have been lost

2) Fujitora wanted to abolish the shichibukai system. Last time a shichibukai was taken down(crocodile) the WG took credit for it(Making the public think WG stopped the henious act) and that the Shichibukai system can be under the control of WG. Fujitora was sent to "HELP" Doffy and take down Law/Strawhat Alliance. He cant fight Doffy cause he is bound by rules. He clearly stated that he had plans for taking care of Doffy but he also gambled on a pirate to take down the Shichibukai.

Strawhats capture and the dice thing was clearly done on purpose and it wasn't a just a quirk of Fujitora's. He wanted to help Luffy and most likely felt that he is a lucky individual, so he decided to test that luck out, thus even helping them, but also having a reason of not following his orders...sorta.
@TheUhhoh
@TheUhhoh 7 жыл бұрын
Fujitora is blind justice. He doesn't care who you are - what your status is - pirate, noble, marine or even admiral; he doesn't distinguish nor discriminate; if your a bad person, hes coming after you. Also, the reason he seems so confused is because of what hes actually experiencing; as you said, hes kind of always had an ideal image of the world government. That image was tarnished throughout the arch, which put him in a crisis of faith; does he side with Luffy - an enemy and pirate - or does he follow his orders. At the end hes still kind of weighing that decision in his heart, which is why hes using the dice. However, deep down he already decided to let Luffy go, the dice was just his excuse to bide time.

Lol, he has no personal problem whit the shichubukai. He does not want to fight and defeat the all lords. He hates the system. He thinks the marines should not cooparate with pirates, because the pirates might abuse their privilige and take too much advantage from their given position like Crocodile and Donflamingo did.

4) Next when you said Fujitora rolling a dice to take down Luffy here is what Fujitora said "The deeply wounded pirate who saved the country. Should I consider an enemy? or should I let him go since he is the hero of this country? I can't decide." It is crystal clear that Fujitora didn't want to be a D**k to the guy who helped him save Dressrosa as well as proving other kingdoms that WG is not in control of the Shichibukai and Shichibukai can f**k up a country into a living hell and the WG could do nothing about it. And provide evidence that the Shichibukai system is dangerous and hence need to be abolished.

I think you're really missing the point here tekking, one of the only times i've seen you completely miss the point. The reason issho let luffy be the one to beat doflamingo is because he wanted to fulfill his ultimate goal of disbanding the schibukai, if he was the one to do it the marines would get nothing but fame and thankfulness. However if an 'evil pirate' was the one to save an entire country then people start to really call into question the morality of allowing the schibukai to exist.

I havent gotten far into the video but I'll say this. The thing is with Fujitora is that he chose not to do anything and let Luffy handle it because of the events of Alabasta. The World Government basically stole Luffy's fame by stopping Crocodile and he also did that to show to the world that the War Lords are bad people. He basically just had his faith in Luffy to further expand his own motives AND to keep his promise with Smoker who felt guilty for letting the Government get the praise for alabasta.

Probably some comments already touch upon this but Fujitora wasn't conflicted with his decisions, he decided that Dressrosa would became good example for the world to see how Shichibukai system must be abolished he needed proof that system doesn't work when they gave pirates this amount of freedom because they already swept under rug the Crocodile situation (must of it was cover-up ) and situation was even worse because it was also former World Noble that was the cause. That why after fight of Doffy vs Luffy Fujitora order the marines not to contact his superiors and told Maynard to show neighboring islands footage of what happened without world government or marines meddling with that information and i have no doubt this will be used for the Reverie to propose abolishment of Shichibukai system. Fujitora wanted unadulterated proof to show world , that why he turned "blind eye" civilians to getting hurt to certain extent, the more destruction he could show the better to be honest (the more graphic the situation more powerful is the message) ,don't forget he had talk with Smoker he knows what happened with Alabasta and Smoker frustration of not being able do anything about it, one of the reasons we have that little scene with Smoker and Tashigi. This how i see Fujitora actions on Dressrosa : he wanted to put the present system in a bad light including the marines , they allowed pirates to achieve position of power and modify the information so the marines always look good in civilians eyes (Smoker his considered to be hero who defeated Crocodile for example), he wants to show this corruption to common individual so it could spread. He wants the system to change and most probably is going to pretend to be blind on some occasions ,i'm almost sure that going be his way of handling some situations. I really doubt Fujitora beliefs that apologizing is enough but it his first step for marines to change , this is first time i think that high ranking marine officer put himself on his knees to apologize for no able to handle situation correctly, i can only see a very few marines who would do this so publicly. Sorry for the long text.

@saltlV true that Fujitora seems conflicted only because -his duty is to follow the orders of selfish, narscisistic, egoistic, egotistic, dictatorship lead my Shitty Akainu's absolute justice and world govt vouching for their false facade of credibility -And his ideals lie in the wellbeing, protection and integrity of common people by eradicating the bad elements both in govt and pirate side. "If you lose credibility just by admitting your fault then it means you didn't have any in the first place" -Admiral Fujitora The most bad ass, moving dialogue during the most pivotal moment for a marine officer ever.... Slap in the face of Akainu's/ world govt's hypocrisy and shitty justice!!! Fujitora at first was oblivious of the actual workings of govt and thought govt is right and pirates are wrong. But during his interactions with luffy and others in dressrosa, and facing the actual consequences of the wrong side of the govt, he got to grow as a character and know the greyness of the world. It's not the labels or titles that Matter but what actually matters is the who they are and what their actions, intensions are. He was a very admirable character with great humility and integrity. He wants to be on the righteous path and do the right thing. So he was humble enough to accept his own misconceptions and change his world view to seeing the greyness of the world and looking at people for who they are not external appearances. That's the reason Y he corrected himself with humility and is brave enough to oppose, stand up to Akainu pointing out govt's fault and even apologizing to King Riku on behalf of govt all of which shows his integrity and mental conviction to do the right thing. Fujitora clearly has grasp if what is actual moral justice. He knew that whatever the destruction is happening is only because the world government has sanctioned them the freedom to do as they like these Shichibukai. 1. Shichibukai were given the power to do their wrongdoings because of the World govt and now even though Fujitora knows it is wrong, him being a representative of world govt doesn't have moral standing to oppose doffy because it is the govt that is indirectly responsible for all the stuff. From the start he opposed Shichibukai system. 2. As he got to know that all the other pirates are actually trying to fight off Doffy and protect the people along with Luffy, he realised that not all pirates are bad and Govt is not absolutely good entity in the first place. 3. If Fujitora did do anything to Doffy or oppose doffy after seeing doffys schemes, then he will be violating the his superior's orders directly by ignoring the actual orders of capturing Luffy and Law By doing so is to oppose Akainu the shitty guy with his shitty absolute justice BS, will surely strip Fujitora off his admiral rank and kill off all the Fujitora's subordinates for opposing navy. And then his whole plan of using his power to abolish Shichibukai system goes to drain. So he can't fight doffy right away. 4. But even before this Luffy and gang along with revolutionaries tantoland started fighting Doffy to over throw his tyranny. This made Fujitora realise that a fellow pirate Luffy is actually putting his life on the line to get Doffy down. Now he decided anyway it is not possible for him to fight Doffy so He bet in Luffy a morally good pirate. And if Luffy loses then in order to protect the people he will start fighting. 5. So without even considering his own standing, orders from the top he ignored all the absolute justice trash and right away Started to to WHAT A MARINE IS SUPPOSED TO DO. That is protecting the people. So he STOPS HIS TROOPS towards pirates and orders them to save people, divert them from dangerous area, and debris. The ACTUAL MORAL JUSTICE required in this situation. The ideal thing he can do. And he did it. In the mean time he meets Luffy, Zoro, Sabo the revolutionary army no 2 and confirmed that their righteousness towards the situation and left the task of Doffy to them. 6. He then went near the string cage and helped alongside pirates to stop the cage. He even ordered his subordinates to help push the cage. PROTECTION OF THE PEOPLE AND SUBORDINATES WAS HIS HIGHEST PRIORITY all along. And he was ready to go into action and fight Doffy if Luffy fails. 7. He didn't want Navy to take the good stamp on themselves once again and proclaim their own righteousness and take credit for getting down Doffy similar to Alabasta. Fujitora wanted the people, govt and everyone to know that the govt is at fault and the govt is the indirect reason to cause this problems for common people due to Shichibukai system and they have to rectify it. So if he fights right away before without letting Luffy fight, then it is clearly like a) he is ignoring orders and sparing Luffy and aiding Luffy to get Doffy down. Even though he states it is JUST to save people, AKAINU WILL NOT GIVE A DAMN AND WILL ORDER TO STRIP ALL THE marines sent to dressrosa off their ranks and get them executed or sent to impel down. b) OR Govt will change the news saying it is the Govt that has got to know Doffy's deeds and revoking his Shichibukai status and has captured him. It will then become simple navy arresting a pirate. But the actual core root problem will be covered up i.e., Shichibukai system itself and corruption in world government. 8. Finally when everything is over He inspite if his stature accepts the responsibility of all the shit govt has done even though he has nothing to with any of those, He TAKES STAND AND BOWS, PROSTATES and apologizes for the fault of govt. This is a turning point where a govt official is ACTUALLY BEHAVING HAS HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE his main duties being "protection of people" and "capturing the who has wronged the people". Simple... The TRUE MORAL REAL JUSTICE which is unbiased and BLIND to whoever they are - " a pirate or a marine or a govt official or a commoner" just SEEING THE DEEDS committed by them - good or bad ONLY and not judge by who has done those activities. 9. He inspite of being blind can actually feel the emotions, INTENTIONS and feelings of people around him. So this gives him the ABILITY to whom to trust for true moral justice to be achieved, whom to be relied on, whom to be actual threat to people and who r actually allies to true moral justice. 10. So after everything is over he even then didn't go to arrest the wounded pirates in the castle. BECAUSE he knows those pirates have PUT THIER LIVES ON THE LINE TO BRING DOWN DOFFY, Cleaning up the MESS created by the Shichibukai system of world govt and saved the people of dressrosa. He knows they deserve to be rewarded not punished or captured. But being a marine admiral his duty and superior order was to capture all those pirates along with the strawhats. He doesn't want to do it as those pirates actually are good guys who helped people of dressrosa. So he leaves it to chance the Dice. And he generally is master with gambling because of his advanced Observation haki. So with a very high probability he doesn't go wrong easily. This we saw in wano when Zoro also won and guessed the dice using his observation haki with accuracy. He rolled the dice with the intention of letting the pirates leave dressrosa as they've earned it by saving it. 11. Finally when the dice told him to charge he went and confronted the pirates based on his duty. And he is capable of stopping all of them. But people of dressrosa went to the port to protect their savior pirates from the navy. He realised that the people also want them to leave safely and he also want them to escape because they all have earned their free pass due to their contribution of dressrosa. So he ultimately protected those pirates and let them leave safely without problem indirectly using his powers. He was really glad to meet a pure hearted simple person like Luffy and how he might be a strong force required to correct all those things that r wrong with the world. He likes gambling but he only gambles when he is conflicted between what is right thing to do and his duty. If he feels there is no other way to stop the evil infront of him he steps forward to confront it as he was clearly ready to take down Doffy if Luffy loses. But till then he Focused on his actual duty of PROTECTING THE PEOPLE. Due to his strong sense of actual moral justice, he couldn't bear to watch the injustice and bad things around him and because of that he blinded himself as he can't see those things. This doesn't mean he gave up or he has confrontational issues as he was confident he was strong enough to fight off the Bad things even without his eyes. It's just that he can't see those horrible scenes with his eyes and he blinded himself. He is not a bombastic aggressive arrogant person. He is a practical an responsible person who doesn't do things rashly as they might have unwarranted consequences. That's Y he didn't charge at Doffy and fought him right away and putting his whole subordinates and himself in danger in the eyes of shitty Akainu. Fujitora actually cares for the people and their well-being. He is a kind sensible rational practical non-hypocritical honest humble pure hearted guy. He after his reality check at dressrosa about the greyness of justice of the navy and not everything is right or wrong just because if the tag given to it, So He doesn't judge one being a pirate or marine but judge them by their actions and intentions. As far as I can say Fujitora can handle situations even better than all the other admirals because of his strong sense of righteousness, his ability to sense the intentions of others - advanced Observation haki and his strong will to protect people and establish peace and harmony giving rise to his what I call TRUE MORAL JUSTICE - BLIND AND UNBIASED. My favourite Marine!!! FUJITORA

Isshou purposely did not involve himself so that the WG could take a hit knowing full well that he would face extreme consequences. He probably knows that the reverie is happening soon and saw this as an opportunity for conversations to be started. He could not care less if the WG looks bad, he openly adimtted that it was the Mariens and the WG that caused all of Dressrosas problems. Had he taken out Doffy then the WG could have covered it up and said that they took down an evil warlord. I don't know how that's hard to understand. But he is quite ingenious in his plans, unlike Smoker in Alabasta, he knows that the Marines cannot afford to lose him because of how insanely powerful he is but at the same time realizes that there would still be some consequences, I.e not allowed to go back to any Marine bases until he captures Luffy and Law; and I have a theory about how that will be resolved. Instead of Luffy and Law, after their alliance takes down Kaido, whenever that actually happens, he will be the one to bring him in which would be quite the prize compared to just Luffy and Law.

Fujitora didn't stop Doflamingo because he wanted to expose the faults of the world government. If he had defeated Doflamingo, it would give of the impression that the WG still has control over the Warlord and can handle them in case they go rogue. So in a situation where it's clear as day Luffy was the one who took down Doflamingo and the government can't cover it, well then the WG stand there with egg in their face. Issho wants to get rid off the warlords after all. That is why Akainu is so fucking pissed off at Fujitora when they talk on the Den Den Mushi. Because Fujitora aired out to the world that Luffy stopped Mingo before reporting what happened to HQ.

I don't think Fujitora is "flip-flopping" as much as you think during the Dressrosa arc ! In my opinion, he is just very coflicted between his duties as a marine admiral who had *direct orders* by Akainu and his *disgust* for what he finds out about Dressrosa and Doflamingo. All the "flip-flopping" we see is, imho, just Fujitora *building up excuses* for why he didn't act according to Akainu's orders - knowing full-well that Akainu wouldn't care about Doflamingo's shady practices up (at least) until he put up the bird cage.

3) You keep mentioning that Fujitora can simply take down Doffy and apologies later but that would again mean that WG is taking care of unlawful shichibukai. Instead, if Luffy took down Doffy Fujitora can paint a picture that WG was in the wrong and he transmitted the footage to the public and nearby kingdoms that WG was at fault. With which he can raise a point in the World Reverie with the support of many other kingdoms. Cause the WG is putting up a facade that they are not letting the Shichibukai run wild and that the system is not dangerous in the eyes of the kingdoms of the world.

I like fuji's justice the best. Akainu justice is absolute justice that never work. The marines and warlords are clear examples of this. Kuzans was moral justice which is closest to being realistic but won't work in the op world. Kizaru is neutral from what i can tell. He just follows whatever justice is leading and looks open to any justice. Fuji is blind justice that the law and rules should apply to everyone equally regardless of status. Idealistic but it the best justice imo.

Maybe he was just waiting to see what straw hat would out of interest because pirates are supposed to be bad but the people here were treating him like a hero. And i believe while straw hat was taking down doffy he was protecting civilians so its no real loss there i believe if straw hat failed he woulda stepped in. Also he kinda had to stay off to the side or else straw hat would not have been able to take down doffy so the plot itself might have skewed his character.

Doing the dice thing with him earlier in the story, if that was already decided by Oda to really be how he decides things when he's conflicted, would've been best. That way you can see him doing that for other things, so it seems more like a part of his character rather than some random plot convenience.

Maybe its not gravity but vectors or something like that? He can change directions of everything. So he CAN change the direction of gravity, but his power is not directly gravity. The reason I say this is because he outright made cannon balls go straight down. Not like he dragged them down slowly, not they did an immediate change of direction, something gravity doesn't just do. So rather than gravity, it is vectors/direction.

I feel like everyone is over rating the admirals and underestimating warlords. Why does everyone think Doflamingo would get his ass kicked by Issho and Aokiji? He broke out of Aokiji's ice instantly and wasn't worried about going 1 on 1 with Issho. The only person he even showed fear to the entire series was Kaido, he was laughing during the marineford war and shit on law/luffy 1 on 1 multiple times and if it wasn't for an extreme amount of help would have succeeded in his plans. He has conqueror's haki and devil fruit awakening and everyone treats him like hes Moria. Remember how aokiji tied with Ace and Sabo tied with Issho, do we really think Doflamingo is weaker than ace and sabo? This dude shit on Smoker instantly. The only warlord thats really shown hes trash level (besides Buggy) is Moria I just don't get why all these admirals are over hyped when they haven't really done anything noteworthy to anyone warlord level or above.

I'm new to watching watching Manga related videos so the interpretation is usually just up to me. When I read the part about Fujitora rolling the dice, I interpreted it as him using his gravity power to let luffy get away because luffy did what the marines should have been doing in the first place. I usually over imagine things when I read manga so it could just be that. It really shaped my perspective and understanding of Fujitora's character though, he's essentially just making the decision to let luffy go. At his core he's just a good person that wants to do whatever he can to protect people whether it's with the marines or helping a pirate.

Maybe Issho's character isn't supposed to be a singular designation like 'lazy' or 'absolute' justice. The reason why he targeted Luffy and Law with Doffy was because that was his mission. He started doubting the mission after he saw all that shit go down and decided that maybe the order is ill advised. IMO better than blindly(no pun intended) following orders. Also, the demotion of Doffy was more of an FYI, something that would be done after the order with Straw Hats was completed. He can't take a side quest every time the opportunity arises.

The whole apology analogy I almost agree with, however add rope tying the firefighter to a tree where he has a full view of the fire burning. This rope is hooked to a contraption that'll cause an even more potentially dangerous situation. Sure there's a knife there on the ground, but if he escapes from the tree and the trap is set off who knows what else might happen as a result. Fujitora is clearly a VERY honorable guy and he is in a strong position of authority in a corrupted system. Even if he can't fix the issues going on, he can slow down the process a bit on his end, which I think he does. He was the admiral sent in to deal with the Strawhats, yet he notices when it counts that they shouldn't be really hindered. At the end of the day he's a marine and, to keep his position (thus not defiling the fact he couldn't help initially in the first place), needs to keep that act of following the law. His eyescars and dice are symbolism but this comment is already way too long as is.

I dont remember if you mention one line that Fujitora said, He was on a Country that was going to be like Dressrosa if the Shichibukai have won, but Who saved His country, that was the thing that push Him to become a Marine, If He hates all Pirates it couldnt be another pirate Group but rather the Revolutionaries, Ive have only watched the anime, but when Fujitora fought Sabo, in the Anime are Chapters 687 689 and 695, on 695 theres an escene that Sabo make all Marines to run farther and both of them are alone, then Fujitora said a Line "If you lose your dice, the game is over before you can even roll", the next thing is Sabo reacting to that line, then on 699 it continues with an explanation from Fujitora but the battle is already over, I think everyone is assuming that Fujitora wants Luffy to beat DoFlamingo, but I think theres something else involved, Sabo reacted to the line before Fujitora could Explain that, something like Identifying He was an allied from the Revolutionaries, Sabo recognized that line as a code and thats why He reacted to that. I dont know if you are going to read this since is rather an old Video.

Fujitora is one of my favorite characters, but I think the main reason why Fujitora didn't want to help against Doflamingo was to show what kind of system the warlords are that the marines are supporting. At first he was helping the citizens while staying away from the fight, but since it was getting out of hand, he set out to go stop doflamingo and luffy. As he was making his way to go stop them even though he didn't want to, sabo stops him before he could. In my honest opinion, fujitora could have took sabo out, but because sabo is just that strong himself, fujitora was happy to let sabo keep him in his tract in hopes of luffy's success. The thing is, yeah there is probably a lot of people who died, but his justice is to look out for the overall world, not just dressrosa. If he needs overwhelming evidence to prove why the system needs to abolish, then I'm thinking Fujitora deemed some casualties worthy to get rid of the warlords, which will end up saving more lives than it takes. BTW, with the dice scene, Fujitora says he wasn't controling the dice. I would like to believe that he wasn't lying, and that the dice really was rolling for luffy. I want to believe that along with Conqueror's Haki, he has some sort of high level luck as well. But overall, Fujitora is by far one of the most interesting character so far after the time skip. His past seems pretty dark and he's got the balls to do what no one else can do, be a Marine and stand up against the World Government. You gotta understand, he's got a hard task a head of him, you can't expect all of his decision to make sense, since he is a gambler.

I think that isho didn’t leave it to the dice bc remember he can control the gravity in his area so all he had to do is put a certain amount of gravity on the dice and the # he wanted and bingo he got 1 I think he generally does want to help luffy after there confrontation

Will there be a video discussing Coby?? I know he hasn't done too much, but he was the first one in the story that Luffy interacted with and Oda has set him up in a way that makes it seem like he will have some sort of vital role in the future. There has to be a reason that he is still in the story at all.

Maybe he thought by not taking action would allow him to now alienate his Marine ties. If he can work within the system, he might be able to accomplish more? It's like how politicians sometimes have to compromise to move their ideals forward a bit. (I love his character design, and I want to be optimistic 0.o)

The gambling thing is just a part of his character. Remember, the first time we ever met him was when the group that went into town went into that restaurant and he was gambling. And then, he got really pissed off because there were pirates there that kept cheating him and telling him he lost even though he won every single time and then he made a huge crater in the floor and squashed the pirates. Gambling is just one of Fujitora's quirks.

As far as the alignment thing goes, I feel that he started as lawful good (the "law" being that of the WG). It seems that he was of the mindset that law is good and chaos is evil. When he saw all the shit with Doflamingo (lawful evil) and Luffy (chaotic good), his eyes started to open--metaphorically speaking. So... Now he's more neutral good, not really wanting to go after Luffy, but rolling the dice because he's obligated to.

I THINK I can explain the dice thing, and Fujitora's personality. Fujitora is clearly molded after the blind swordsman Zatoichi, from the Zatoichi movies ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zatoichi ) (there are, like five billion of them.) In those movies, he makes his living as a gambler. That's why Fujitora enters the gambling house at the beginning of the Dresrosa arc, like Zatoichi, he's a bit of a gambler. As for his personality, I think it's complicated, but not contradictory. Issho clearly has a conflict between what he thinks is 'justice' and what is honorable. In a perfect world, those would be one and the same, but Issho lives in an imperfect world, where he is caught between doing between doing two different 'right' things. There is keeping the order and peace by helping the world government maintain solidarity, and doing what is honorable. If you wanted to put it into an alignment terms, I think he's Lawful good, but his morals are pulling him towards Neutral Good, and the world government is pulling him towards Lawful Neutral, and he's stuck in the middle, trying to figure out what to do. Issho is caught up in a very traditional Japanese-style dilemma. On the one hand he believes it is his duty to do whatever he can to help the world government maintain peace and order so that the citizenry can live harmoniously and without fear of bandits and pirates and the like. On the other hand, he also wants to just genuinely help people and do the right and honorable thing. So he hates Donflamingo, and REALLY hates the that he 'works' for the world government, but at the same time he believes he has to work with him to maintain the peace. That's why he didn't really want to arrest Luffy and the crew because they did what he REALLY wanted to, brought down Donflamingo's super corrupt regime. So, because he's a gambler, he 'bet' on Luffy. And Luffy's luck held out.

Question: have fujitora ever used the gravity power without the sword? Maybe Fujitora is a great swordsman and his sword have the gravity power(like spandam with the elephant sword)
