Mark wrote this song himself and played and programmed most of the instruments. I just sang the lead & background vocals on it. Just another unpaid studio session of many, for me, but I got to keep a recording of my voice in a different genre, than what I usually sang in. I never got paid for any of my studio sessions in my lifetime.. and made next to nothing on all my live performances & tours with different bands (after the meals were paid for.) A lot of the times I never got paid anything at all, but that was the same for most of my band members, too. Record companies basically wanted "all of the rights" to songs (sometimes, for the first three albums) to get a record deal. I think this is why you are seeing so many artists re-recording their catalogues, in the past ten years. We didn't have internet in the "ole days", so I hope you young artists out there just sell your own music.. and wait for the record companies "to come to you". I was never offered any deals, 'without a major hitch attached to them'. Just a few of the 'many reasons' why I basically left the music business, in the late 1990's... and finally "officially' ended my music career in the early 2000's. But.., I do have some good memories from it all.
