Hi hi! Thank u for your reply. Will there be any formulated calculation for the fresh ingredients, or I must buy together with the soap formulation calculator?
@tellervo.7 ай бұрын
@@sallisan81 There are formulas and formulation instructions in Fresh Soaps, but you need to have a basic understanding of soap formulation to be able to apply the information so I recommend getting The soap formulator's workbook also.

Hello! First of all, I want to tell you that I love your channel, thank you for all the information and for the calm atmosphere that you transmit. I have a question and I hope you can answer it for me, I would greatly appreciate it! Why do you put soaps in the oven? Does it help to have the consistency to be able to cut it after 24 hours? Could I do the same with my used oil soap? Thank you!
@tellervo.8 ай бұрын
I'm so glad to hear that, thank you🤗 I put my soap in the oven if i want it to go through gel phase. It does help the soap harden faster. It also intensifies colors and in my opinion results in a better texture! You can definitely put your used oil soap in the oven too😊

I hav heard u hav to use fully sun-dried ingredients as flavours and colours like saffron,herbpowders etc or else fungus may develop.also what preservatives should be added to increase shelf life.?
@tellervo.8 ай бұрын
I have never experienced fungus, but you do have to follow certain steps when using fresh ingredients. I don't use preservatives because of the high pH and low moisture environment.

Hello. So soap doesn’t have to be covered??? I have individual soap molds and I cover them but after I uncover them the top of the soaps aren’t smooth and nice. And I haven’t found a video that’s straightforward about whether or not to cover, so that the soap can go through the process.

Just an addition if in a colder climate/house from my experience relative new soaper if uncovered (un insulated) it probably will take more than 24 hours before cutting. In warmer environment it will be probably ok at 24 hours

I was given homemade lavender soap, the lady told me she had brought a soap base mix off amazon and added lavander essential oil and some dried lavender flowers to the top. It smelt nice but after 3 days out on my bench it has gone brown, especially near the lavender flowers? Does anybody know why the discolouration has occurred and is it still safe to use?
@nikkisamson28558 ай бұрын
The discoloration is just an aesthetic issue. The buds have undergone oxidation which is pretty normal when it touches the lye during saponification. Pretty normal and safe to use for sure.

Just curious…wondering why the honeydew can be fresh but the mint has to by dried first? I know the PH prevents rancidity in milks, purées yet herbs are never put in fresh…. Probably because it mights feel mooshy in the soap? Thank you for your art and expertise ❤
