I just made a carrot soap and cut it today and mine had the same texture and look exactly on the top that you noticed! The other times I made HP carrot soap & it didn't happen. I still think they are like little blocks of pure gold, they make me happy just to look at them. Yours is gorgeous💛

I love the colors you achieve with these natural ingredients, they are so beautiful! I made a dandelion leaf soap you inspired me to make. I shared pics of it on IG and tagged you. I notice you do not share on IG any longer, but I hope you get a chance to see the pictures, I love how it turned out. I foraged and dried the leaves exactly as you recommended, I just crushed it and did less sifting so I had some more exfoliation texture in the soap. I made it with mint and lime essential oils and the smell is wonderful as well. Thanks again for sharing and inspiring us with natural ingredients! ❤

You inspired me to make a carrot soap a while back and I have to say it’s my favorite. I used the hot process method and added yogurt, turmeric infused avocado oil and carrot seed oil as my superfat. It’s so gentle and really moisturizing. I can’t get enough of it.

Hi i made this soap recipe a while back its fabulous. Its even great as a gentle cleaner for leather sofas. I have 3 dogs two of them are huge german shepherd dogs you can imagine what my sofa is like daily so i tried the soap on the arm part and it came off a treat even with cold water. Then i tried it on my kitchen tiles which never scrub clean with a scouring pad always left the green part of the scrubber in the grease and guess what cold water again it came off with minimal effort. Ive gifted 6 bars as a natural all purpose cleaner bar to friends and they love it have asked for more. My friend Helen uses it on her bathroom too fabulous soap thanks for sharing.

Lovely! I was a bit scared about using the raw pulp. But i did use the juice in my orannge soap :) my method ia to get them through a juicer and freez it in ice cube trays. They keep well in the freezer, especialy if you also use a vacum bag, otherwise they may discolour a bit to a brown, in contact with the air in a regular bag:)

Hi , just i wanna ask abou the benefits' soap and super fat , please 1- Do the oils' benefits remove when we combine them with naOH ? 2- when adding super fat , do i reduce from quantity of oil which combined or just add another one Ex : 500g oil + 50g super fat or 450g oil + 50 super fat ?
@tellervo.8 ай бұрын
It depends on how you look at it, the structure of the oils are completely changed when they are converted into soap, only the superfatted portion remains and this will of course benefit the skin. I recommend calculating the superfat with a lye calculator so that it's baked into the recipe. So you use less lye in your recipe instead so there's no need to add extra oils
@Aimen_tw8 ай бұрын
@tellervo. well , I thought you're using soap calculator, I've seen the other site now and I found it slightly complicated anyway thank you cuz now I knew question number 1

Why we add citric acid for all soaps
@bunhelsingslegacy35499 ай бұрын
It's all in the description, but if you're on a phone and can't get to the description, here's what it says, "When citric acid and sodium hydroxide lye (NaOH) are combined, sodium citrate is created. Sodium citrate works as a chelator in soap. A chelator traps metal ions such as calcium and magnesium that can be found in tap water. These metal contaminants can cause rancidity and soap scum in handmade soap. A chelator binds to these metals so that they can’t bind to the soap molecules. This way the soap won’t react with them and the soap's lather improves + shelf life increases."
