*** Update: I posted a lather test short video (with a photo of the soap after 4 weeks) in case you're interested => kzbin.infoGn3_6QosMkY I haven't made a turmeric soap in really long time, so I thought I'd make one this summer. In the past, I've always replaced 15% of the total oils with turmeric infused olive oil but decided to do a 30% oil replacement with this soap. Thanks for watching! - Holly :)

I’m not a soap maker myself or anything, I just love these soap making channels because I find them so relaxing. But you have absolutely nailed the relaxing video vibes the most. I love watching this stuff before bed :)

I’m guessing mine will turn brown over time. They’re still a pretty mustard color but definitely not as vibrant as when I photographed them.

What a beautiful blend of oils and essential oils. The colour just glows. It looks like you poured off the infused oil but left the settled turmeric at the bottom of the jar.

Turmeric bars look beautiful. I usually add charcoal to mine, but now I may have to try Turmeric on its own. Your bars look rich and creamy. ❤

Question: How does using this percent turmeric affect the lather color? I would have loved to see a lather test for this. What a beautiful color and always a joy to watch your videos.

I definitely should have done a lather test in the video! But to answer your question…I’ve used the soap, and it doesn’t affect the lather at all. It’s still white with no color. Thank you and thanks for asking!

Beautiful process! I loved your video. I'm new at attempting to make soup. This will be my first to make. Looks easy enough until I saw the soupcalc 😬 feeling a lil intimidated, but I will push thru to overcome it. Beautiful soap! Thank you for sharing ❤️

Try soapee instead. I'm a brand new soaper and I'm also intimidated by soapcalc, so I was glad when I found a MUCH simpler site, and one where you don't have to make an account to use it.

I made the soap and have let it cure for 6wks. I absolutely love it. My family loves it, too. They are catching on to me going natural for the sake of good health ❤️ Now to make more to be ready before I run out. Thanks again for the video

Hello :) when you pour the infused olive oil to the whole batch of the oil, did you filter the turmeric powder? Or you put it all including the turmeric that was settled at the bottom? Thank you!

You make the prettiest soaps Holly and your videos are always so relaxing to watch. Do you mind sharing what kind of stick blender you use? Mine puts so many air bubbles into my batter. I have yet to find a good one.

Thank you so much! I use a Waring Quikstik. The shaft isn’t removable but it’s the only one I’ve tried that doesn’t pull air into the soap (as long as I tap the air out from the blender before starting).

@@hollysoapmaking Thank you for sharing. I've had the same experience, they all put so much air into my better, even with burping. I always notice how you don't have tons of tiny air bubbles in your batter when you make your soaps. I think I'm going to try the one you have.

I'm looking at them trying to find one that looks like yours does in the videos, and they look a lot different except I think maybe the 7 inch shaft one is the closest from what I can tell to yours. Would you mind maybe putting a link in the notes of the video that I could use?

@ I didn’t use the settled turmeric so it wouldn’t have clumps or specks and it turned out well

Thanks for this beautiful video. I have a question concerning thé percentage of shea butter. Is 25%not too much? I thought it was not too good to use more than 15 to 20%

Hello Madam, excuse me for disturbing you but I would like to know the olive oil that you use with the turmeric is part of the 300 ml of olive oil or is it an additional quantity of oil? Your soap very very smooth and lovely. If I make soap, soap has many white, looks like spills everywhere. Its not soda ash but. It appears not only on the top but slowly increases during curing period. I'm clueless. Will you please help me. Any guess?

I used butter paper in the mold. The next day when I pulled the soap loaf out I find the butter paper is oily wet. In your video the paper is dry. Are you using butter paper or some other paper? Wcould you please explain?
