Yes I’m a shiefele fan and tht hit was just as clean as the evans hit can’t penalize zadorov for being taller n can’t penalize shiefele for evans putting his head down 3:09 At the last possible split second.

I am not a fan of either team. Schiefele comes flying up the boards with his head down the entire way, Zadorov steps up but at the last second schiefele cuts towards center ice (never sees him for a second). exactly why he does a 360 in the air. The hit was a little high, i think just because Zadorov bigger but, was there contact to the head? yes. Was the head the principal point of contact? no. Did Zadorov leave his feet before contact? Absolutely not.... Clean hit

@@lucasmaclean6498 that may be and I take your word for it (never played hockey)... so good players are not to be touched? should they roll out the red carpet as well, maybe install a chaise longue in the slot for convenience? pull the goalie every time the so-called talented player approaches the net? I played other team sports and I always appreciated when the refs applied the rules the same way for everyone... it cannot be that 700k a year grinders can be checked left right and center and 11 million a year superstars are only to be watched from 30 feet distance... I mean I kinda get what you are saying that otherwise talented players are getting targeted, but hockey is a full contact sport and everyone who plays it knows that and is aware of the risks involved... this hit was clean in my eyes (Z did not jump up, didn't charge S into the boards, hit him from the front and it appears to me that first contact was made on the upper body)... Scheifele was just realizing too late that he will get steamrolled...

Theodore P Forwards know there’s a hit coming there. Anyone who’s played hockey for 20+ years knows you need to pick your head up as soon as you touch the puck, and if you don’t- it’s your own fault. I’d give you your point if the hit was before the puck got there or even right as he touched it, but he had time to look and chose to look to the middle for a pass.

The NHL is at a place where big clean hits are no longer tolerable. Hits are a part of hockey!

Firstly, I can't understand the over analysis. If you skate through the neutral zone with your head down you are going to get lit up. You learn that in peewee. Secondly, giving out penalties to a guy that delivered a clean, solid hit then gets jumped by two people is what is ruining the game

I love how a lot of times Refs, no matter what sport or league, will call penalties on clean hits or on something that wasn't anything, but seem to usually miss the complete garbage hits/plays.

You can't lay a hard clean hit in the NHL these days without gloves flying afterward. It's really annoying. He didn't charge, he didn't fight yet in the box for 7 minutes. This kinda thing needs to be cleaned up.

I'm genuinely worried that in the next 10-15 years, the NHL will completely get rid of hitting. With refs giving so many penalties for good clean hits, it's almost like the NHL has just stopped accepting good, solid hits. Also, if the NHL is gonna do something, penalize the players that jump the player after a solid hit.
