how does it work for my 2 favorite games: scrabble and backgammon? both are timed a little differently than chess? thx!
@tempogames61183 жыл бұрын
Super simple actually. For scrabble there is a one-button toggle to switch from sudden death (game ends at 0) to OT (timer keeps going past 0), and for backgammon it's also one button: the [+] icon in the settings between the minutes (per game) and the seconds (delay per move), is actually just a toggle.. [+] is for incremental time (chess) or toggle over to DELAY [...] with the same button, for backgammon: which gives each player x seconds per move prior to tapping into their game time bank. just one button toggles between them. No need to dig through a 99 page manual to figure out how to customize your time controls :) Thanks for your support! tempestclock.com

What dimensions of phone does this fit up to? I have a very tall Sony Xperia
@tempogames61183 жыл бұрын
We tested every Apple iPhone from small iPhone 5 to huge 12 Pro Max, and Google Pixels, and all of the samsung models - we found that the largest of the giants was the S20 Ultra (surprisingly it is larger than the S21 ultra). This would be the largest one we know of and it fits perfectly / snugly: 2.99 x 6.57 x 0.35 in. (76.0 x 166.9 x 8.8mm) which i believe is quite a bit larger than your experia right? Check that but If so, you'll have no issues with fit and let us know. There aren't many Sony phones around here though I must say, they are really beautifully made!

I still prefer my analog Fischer chess clock, playing with class, chess don’t need much innovation!
@t0dd0002 жыл бұрын
Alas our local chess clubs disallow analog clocks now. Mine sits in my bag. :(
@tempogames61188 ай бұрын
@@t0dd000 we get it too! but have you guys checked out our new feature? we call it adaptive analog. it captures the class of your fischer clock but it also does what your chess club requires: modern fischer increments or bronstein delays, but on an analog face! the face also adapts to the time you have. like if you play blitz it uses more than just the last 5 ° of the clock face for 5 minutes. it uses as much of the clock circle as possible (plus it has a digital inset clock for absolute clarity). there's a lot going on to keep the simplicity of analog here. check it out : tempestclock.com/pages/manual#section11

@@tempogames6118 I actually own a Tempest clock. I was forced to put it away for tournament play, but use it for club usage.
