Take a look to Voiceplay's version "Little Mermaid medley" and to Geoff's version "the bare necessities"

You should do Geoff Castellucci's version of "High and Dry", originally by Radiohead. I really enjoyed the video, if you could do that next time I'd be very happy about that. Thank you for your reactions and commentary.

I had a moment of glee when they did the Zelda bit. I know that there are other comments, but I have to chime in and say that "Carry On My Wayward Son" & "High & Dry" are next level. I don't know how they seem to get better and better and better....

Great reaction - I love how VoicePlay doesn't tend to take themselves to seriously, haha. So many of their videos are just fun.

Do be sure to check out their recent full version of the Halo theme -- you'll be blown away by Geoff's lowest and Eli's highest notes in it!

Coming out of lurk mode just to say: I was NOT expecting that clip of Homer yelling "NERRRRRRD!" - made me burst out laughing, and now I have tears running down my face! I legit might have woken up my roommate from laughing too loudly but oh well! I needed that! Great way to start my morning! :) Have a good one!

A different musical take, but The Ohio State University marching band did a video game halftime show a few years back where they began their trademark “animation” of formations. It’s tremendous if you haven’t seen it. A treat for the eyes and ears from TBDBITL!

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I played the OG Mario Bros and Tetris so much when I was young as well as some Atari stuff at my best friend's house. After that, I started playing piano, but so many memories.

If you want to check out more video game stuff, _please_ check out Christopher Bill's trombone medleys. They don't get nearly the recognition that they should.

Dale, great recommendation! I wasn't aware of his trombone medleys, but have happily spent my morning catching up. There is so much good video game music out there - it's great to find a new artist. If you're not familiar, I suggest checking out Super Soul Bros and the 8 Bit Jazz Heroes

I hadn't seen this one from Voiceplay yet, so I'm so glad to enjoy it with another video game / music nerd. Yes, they missed a lot, but the ones they chose were iconic. I only wish they had done One-Winged Angel for Final Fantasy, but that probably deserves a full song 😆 But why did Pong confuse you, lol?

Also, this video was made a few years ago, as evidenced by Tony being present and not JNone as the baritone.

@janetranslates4 жыл бұрын
What? You don't know Pong! You're too young. You have no idea what that prototype video game meant to us back in the pre-cell phone era! There was a Pong console in the mini amusement park we used to take our kids to back in the 70s. A game like foosball, but with electronic controls that moved lines on the screen to hit a circle back and forth, like ping-pong paddles. It was amazing! It took skill, and was so much fun! We didn't even have the vocabulary to describe it; "interactive" and "digital" were not household words back then. Totally boring today, I suppose, but earth-shaking, ground-breaking, and mind-blowing back then. I loved watching your reaction!

Please do a reaction video of Voice Plays The Dragonborn Comes Skyrim. It is absolutely amazing. You will be blown away. It is from the video game The Dragonborn Comes Skyrim. Please please. Voice Play gets very theatrical with this one.

Final Fantasy VII remains the only game ever whose storyline made me properly cry - not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES, at different points in the game. There are games with ten times the graphical quality now that haven't achieved that! Have you seen their newer, full versions of 'Halo' and 'The Dragonborne Comes (Skyrim)' since this reaction? If not, i can highly recommend those - if nothing else, it will show just how far they come on since then. Talk about 'Evolution of Voiceplay' - they're practically acapella gods now!
