That little cancer cell dancing without any sign of evil in the middle of Gotham's Square, with the faith of being a response to all the social inequality, that scene seemed so innocent while watching for the first time, but then gets a dark meaning in the context of a decadent Gotham

Same here. Both the music genre, and the cleaning garment are awesome. :) The music makes me wanna dance, while the garments keep my table and counters clean.

Basically the cover is representing that if a suspicious woman tempts you in a hot tub to go out with her, run the heck away.

This is a Warren Trachtman sequenced midi file, NOT a piano roll, I have the midi myself. It was passed through a soundfont or VST, not sure what it was.

I know this as the background music to a computer game called Pinball Wizard from the 1990s or 80s. And then I found it in a book of sheet music of simplified ragtimes in the 2000s. And today I found out it has a connection to something called the Joker, presumably connected to the Batman villain.

Way cool rag, way weird cover! What the heck does it mean? Lucy Ball's head floating in a swamp?
@Snowfireblues7 жыл бұрын
Maybe she's skinny dipping so she's only letting her head be seen in the picture? Dunno, her smile makes this all seem less macabre than the picture you paint with your words. =)

Why does everyone play the last section different from the sheet music? Most important question: everyone does that same variation while there is only one sheet for this.

@thatguyalex2835 Жыл бұрын
I appreciate the genre. Ragtime was used in the Studio Ghibli anime movie "From up on Poppy Hill" (Breakfast Song), as well as the Joker, and in saloon scenes in westerns, which I don't really watch often. Just think, ragtime was one early style of music from Black folks. Fast forward, and then black musicians invented jazz, blues, rock, funk, disco, and then EDM and hip-hop. :) Classic rock and some softer forms of electronic dance music are my favorite styles of music, but I enjoy ragtime. Sadly, I don't have many black friends, but I'll introduce them to 1890s-1910s ragtime if possible, and maybe some 2010s-2020s EDM (in other words, the oldest and newest genres of African-American music in the past 125 years).
