Both of mine also have that issue, however, when it’s been on for maybe 10 minutes, the sound goes away. If I turn it on for maybe 2 minutes and turn it back off, it will make a really loud knocking sound when it spins down, but not if it’s been on for much longer. So far, it’s the only issue I’ve had with these. It’s just the stator vibrating against the shaft

I would not recommend running it broken though, The magnet could be grinding small particles into the air that could lead to potential lung damage.

@@Alexthefancollector Have you tried leaving it on for some time? My ones make the sound for 10 minutes or and then they’re dead silent. I opened one up, and it has nothing to do with grinding magnets. The stator fits on the shaft like a shape insert puzzle, and there’s a slight design flaw where the hole in the stator is just slightly bigger than the shape of the shaft, so it can slightly twist around. The “grinding sound” is caused by the stator wiggling back and forth But then again those are just my ones. Maybe your one has a defect I’m unaware of

I knew some kind of quality issue would appear with this at least someday. I made this video just to let people know what could happen.
