I like Chrsitine Frka emerging from an empty pool on Zappa's Hot Rats. Trees only album was a bit likee this as well. I quite liked the 1980s Maiden records like Somewhere In Time, which was almost like a Richard Scarry picture, in that it was packed with details and references you could keep going back to and look at while listening to the record, finding new things. One that I remember from my parent's collection was the Box Tops - Non Stop where they are on a locomotive. I absolutely loved the cover as a small child, they just looked so cool, and when I was old enough to be allowed to play LPs on my own, I played it, but it never really lived up to my expectiations from the cover! Until then, I'd been allowed to play whatever I wanted from their large 8 track colllection and was only allowd to put on records when I was about 8 or so.

Earth Vs The Wildhearts - Ginger Wildheart lying in an oil bath, face adorned with barbed wire and gaffer tape, aided and abetted by a scorpion and what looks like a cockroach. Bonkers! Breakfast In America - Crockery Manhatten and a waitress homage to the Statue of Liberty. War of the Worlds - Jeff Wayne's tribute to H.G. Wells' Sci-Fi classic. Many hours were spent gazing over the cover and booklet whilst listening to this classic. Metal Box, Public Image Ltd-Three 12" 'albums' are packed as tightly as possible in a faux film roll canister with the PIL logo embossed. The packaging is harsh but functional. I like the artwork on the first four Yello albums, especially Stella and Claro Que Si. Scott walker's Tilt is intriguing, it's not clear to me what is going on in that image. I'm not sure what I'm looking at on the Scott Walker/Sunn O))) Soused cover, but I like the texture, lights and shadows on whatever it is. The Residents' Eskimo with the gentlemen eyes posing for the cover, then the variant cover for The Gingerbread Man where the gentlemen are standing behind a little girl holding a gingerbread man version of them. Looks like the cover of a interesting old horror movie. Since you gave Bowie some flak in the ugly category I have to say I can't stop staring at his cover for "hours", the toned down melancholy music on that album is not what I consider a match for such a late 90s utopian futuristic style. 52 years old Bowie holding the 50 years old corpse of himself is a stark contrast to the fashion and colour palette on that image. I haven't been able to wrap my head around Roger Water's Dark Side of the Moon Redux, but I appreciate the dog having the DSOTM cover reflecting in his/her eye. I really like Pink Floyd's Ummagumma and Animals (both the original and the 2018 version) cover art works. I'm past ten, but here are two more, Richard Wright's Broken China, and the pink and silver cover for the album Identity he did with Dave Harris. We have very different taste in cover art.
