Hey Redeemed Zoomer. I love your videos. I myself was baptized Catholic and went to a Catholic Church as a small child. When I was an older child I went to a Presbyterian Church (My Dad is Catholic and my Mom is Protestant). When I was a teenager I started going to a Catholic Church again and finally got confirmed two years later when I was fifteen.

But important because since satan tries the same trick over and over if we learn how these tricks were shot down the last time then we can do it again maybe even learn from our fore fathers mistakes and do it faster.

I learnt about the old believers in my Russian history course it was very interesting they are orthodox Christians who from my knowledge denied the reforms to the liturgy of the patriarch of Moscow Nikon in the 1600’s and continued in their old ways it made me think about tge ortho bros all ways talking about how they have never changed at all
@mushroompi7
@mushroompi7 3 ай бұрын
@@Idishrkdmd it was more of a political move though. Alexei (the Tsar at the moment) viewed himself as a spiritual successor of Byzantine and THE christian sovereign, who will free Greek christians from Ottoman hegemony, but Athonite monks anathematized Russian books. He just wanted to be the leader of the whole orthodox christianity and viewed Greeks as a heirs of Byzantine culture. Even though Greeks themselves had already changed some parts of Byzantine customs.

Well you have to remember worship in Islam has a wide context. @@clintonbaird5465 Islam's view on idolatry developed over time to hold this view, but the historical context of Muhammad's time points towards him learning Christianity from these heresies and probably Nestorianism and reaching these wrong conclusions about what the whole christian world believes
@dvinb
@dvinb 4 ай бұрын
@@clintonbaird5465 Muhammed didn't encounter any Catholics or Eastern Orthodox, though. There were no Chalcedonians in the Hejaz area, the nearest Chalcedonians were the Ghassanids in Northern Arabia. Muhammed would have mostly had contacts with Nestorians & with a few Miaphysites, either through Abyssinian servants or the Christians from Najran. This is to say that Nestorians have historically not put as much emphasis on the veneration of Mary, their Marian hymns were far less elaborate, partly due to their Christology. Nestorians historically also didn't have elaborate iconography, although they did depict Mary, but icon veneration is mostly absent, even to this day. Now, when it comes to the Miaphysites, yes, they did practice Marian devotion similar to Eastern Orthodox, but still not near the level of Marian veneration you see among modern Eastern Orthodox, not to speak of post-medieval Catholics. So, while Muhammed may have seen the Marian veneration practiced by the Nestorians & Miaphysites as bordering idolatry, it may very well just be a misunderstanding or false interpretation of these practices from Muhammed's side.

The problem with ecumenical councils is that what is "true" is whatever view has more people affirming that given view. I would Like to mention the fact that the Koran speaks of colllyridianism unintentionally. And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, 'Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! Never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, though I know not what in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. [Qur'an 5:116] This would make sense if Muhammad heard of the trinity from this Christian heresy that took please in Arabia. Good video btw.

Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me. [10] Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord.
