I’d say Jason’s only equivalents are Lucas Mann and Tosin Abasi.

I think it's safe to say...Jason Richardson is probably the world's best guitarist (as far as modern day music goes)
@mrtalkative915 жыл бұрын
definitely one of the best, but you cant just start forgetting about the people that even he looks up to, like John Petrucci. hes a literal god
@Sirgoofyboots5 жыл бұрын
Not bashing, just opinion... Top 5 for sure. Technical skills and speed are 1 but I’d bet you won’t ever remember one of his tunes 20 years later, even though his talent and speed are godlike. To me that element needs to be there to be a truly GREAT musician.

Luke is also a beast. Jason killed it again and has become one of my favorites musicians to listen to.

Jason Richardson is this generation's John Petrucci. I had this thought a long time ago and with everything he does. He only supports that theory more and more. At this point, I don't think anyone could out-do him on guitar. Not even John himself....
@coloradomtnrider63116 жыл бұрын
Not to knock Jason, but saying he is better than Petrucci is ridiculous. Jason has one style, which he does very well, but he doesn't have the versatility of JP. Saying one guitarist is better than the other is silly to begin with since 'guitar' encompasses hundreds of different things.

Colorado MtnRider Two words: Hos Down, he had a country and jazz solo in that one song alone. And he's very versatile. He proves that with his solo album. Jason has very focused interests but he can master whatever he wants. He's definitely got John beat on technical skills at least.
